What platform can we watch this on ?

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

The Rookie is a must watch for a bit of comedy & action thrown in. Loved all 3 seasons and waiting for the 4th to come on Amazon Prime. It is a police procedural drama and tells the story of a 40 year construction worker who gives up his regular job to become a cop at his age. There is a lot of friction between his much younger training officer and also his commander and it is all fun and entertaining. Must watch for those who like cop themed series like Blue bloods etc.

Also saw the "I know what you did last summer" series on Amazon. While the series will hold your attention due to the suspense the ending was like having a turbo lag when you needed a turbo boost the most.

Think I mentioned few pages back as I had binge-watched season 1-3 just before 4 started airing. Just finished watching S4-E7, pretty darn interesting. Even I wanted to wait till all episodes are aired and then binge-watch but here we are

Succession S3 - they have hit it out of the park again!! The writing is simply brilliant!

Watch the finale and take a look at that main poster again - they hid everything in plain sight! Bravo! Can't wait for S4.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

The 2 shows that I am watching as of now:

Counterpart on Sonyliv starring JK Simmons.
Has 2 seasons. Slow burn alternate reality thriller. Some commendable performances. Very captivating.
Caution : Many episodes have nudity scenes.
Rating 4/5

Aranyak on Netflix starring Raveena Tandon
Promise of a noir style series in the trailer fell flat in the first episode itself. Cinematography and some CGI looks good. Was let down by the hammy acting and the lack of logical flow of the story. Am currently forcing myself to complete the series to see if things improve going forward or not.
Current Rating 2/5

I have some mixed feelings about this new release. There is a certain disconnect in the storyflow what with multiple unnecessary flashback's. each of the 5 episodes feel very stretched. in fact I had to forward many bits to get to the main story.
All in all -> mixed feelings. Will wait for Vol 2 which is expected in Dec.
Has nobody seen Money Heist Vol 2 of season 5 or does nobody want to talk about it?
Well, I saw all Episodes in one go. Definitely better than the confusing Vol 1 but then, it had to be in order to tie up loose ends. Lot of drama and suspense entails. Lot of questions remain unanswered but then, there is no more seasons coming up and those questions will remain so. All-in-all: Good Series.

Any idea when the 4th season would be announced in India. Looks like it's been aired already in USA, for some reason it's bit yet released on Amazon prime.

Attaching a (highly subjective) rating sheet for over 75 TV shows, mostly English, on Prime/Hotstar/Netflix. Rated season-wise, with color code. Hopefully some might find it useful to prioritize their OTT viewing.

Aranyak - 8/10

Exceeded my expectations and kept me hooked throughout. Good acting by all the actors. One advantage of these OTT platforms is that my parents who don't prefer English language content now have some good quality Hindi language series/movies at their disposal.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Watched 3 shows in last 4 days ( yeah loads of free time due to holiday season)

Inside Out S3(2/5): Nowhere close to the previous instalments. I doubt they would come back with another season. Passable.

Carnival Row(3/5): Watched it primarily for orlando bloom. The plot is kinda loosely tied.

Dil Bekaraar(3/5): Pure masala bollywood show. Portrays 80s India.Watch it for some light entertainment.

Waiting for Wheels of time & Hawkeye all episodes to be aired post which will watch them at a go. Looking for suggestions on hotstar & Prime?

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Hawkeye: Disney plus.

The first five episodes have set up the season quite nicely. If you watched black widow, you could guess one subplot of the series. But the bomb dropped at the end of episode 5 was not expected. Probably because I have not been reading around on the speculations.

I must say a solid watch if you are a MCU fan (hoping the finale will live up to the promise so far).

Season 2 of The Witcher has landed on Netflix. Any reviews yet?

Decoupled on Netflix is a good watch. It humorously addresses a lot of sensitive topics in our society. Totally enjoyed it. Madhavan is as usual superb. It’s a breezy watch of 8 episodes x 35 min. 9/10
