Steering Knob

Hello friends,
The other day i went to one of the accessory shop and saw a nicely made wooden crafted steering knob, the cost was around 300 rupees.

For a moment i thought of taking it up, but then i ve no idea what its used for and what are its benefits. The dealar said that it makes driving easier.

Frinds can you all tell me, is it good to go for the steering knob, what are its benefits and disadvantages if any.
And if its good which is the best brand to go for and its price.
Thanks for all ur help in advance.

Regards

I personally hate those. It will kill the feel of a steering. And you cannot turn using your palm.. and it could get in the way when you move your hand off the steering, dangerous esp at high speeds. Not if I made sense in my last statement.

But I agree have seen it mostly on call center cabs.

Even i hate it.. It can not be used with precision. Even i am a 1 handed driver but that knob comes in between and the feel of steering is not good holding it.

It's one of the biggest nuisances I've ever seen on a car. Bloody irritating too.

The knob is meant for old and athiritic people who have limited hand movement. Folks out here knowing our love of appendages of all shapes and sizes are trying to rip us off!

The first time I saw this knob ...it was installed in a zen automatic and was driven by a handicap lady.. And I think thats the real purpose of the knob. I cant understand why would anyone want to get such a thing installed.. Its such a nuisance.
