Yes. Adani group inflated the stock prices very well knowingly that retailers are always the last to enter.

They used SBI, LIC and the retailers like us. And people who lost money aren't complaining because anti adani is anti india.

I might've lost the track considering how busy this thread is! Can someone help me understand why Anti-Adani is Anti-India? Is it just sentiment? Even if it's a scam, why link it to country than just the entity running the business?

My question was reasonably objective and I got 2 different answers. Your question is highly subjective!

Below a para from Adani’s 413 page response to Hindenburg after their allegations.

Quote:

This is not merely an unwarranted attack on any specific company but a calculated attack on India, the independence, integrity and quality of Indian institutions, and the growth story and ambition of India.

Re: US-based firm Hindenburg alleges Adanis are pulling the world's largest con in corporate history

Just posting this below since there were some comments saying Anti - Adani is Anti "All corporates". They are doing well and will continue to prosper. Adani group just was a rotten apple.

Adani Group crisis likely to leave India’s conglomerates unscathed
Quote:
The dramatic fall in the Adani Group’s shares following allegations by Hindenburg Research is unlikely to spill over to other Indian conglomerates as they fare well on key business parameters, according to Bloomberg Economics.

Most major companies, including Reliance Industries Ltd. and the Tata Group, scored higher than the ports-to-power conglomerate in a BE analysis of governance, liquidity and leverage conditions at India’s top 17 business houses.

This could be a tactical pullout, considering the grave circumstances. The share price of Adani Power went up from 140 (15 Feb) to 155 (17 Feb) when this news is out. The first positive closure since the arrival of Hindenburg.

Me no blind Ambani fan; just saying.

Note from Moderator

This topic has gone way off topic into freedom of speech and people’s background etc. Please let this thread focus on topics related to

-Impact on Adani after the Hindenburg Report
-Shortselling
-Institutions impacted by this report.

If things don’t improve, will need to close this thread

Re: US-based firm Hindenburg alleges Adanis are pulling the world's largest con in corporate history

Here's the new update. So apparently Adani Group has changed the definition of cash & cash equivalents to increase their cash holdings on paper. If they've done such a thing, then the Rs. 31,646 crores amount quoted by Adani to the exchanges may be substantially less in reality.
