I agree with you. I spent a few years in villages and I was not too enthused by the intruding mentality of villagers. The whole village knows what you do, what you wear, when you wake up, when you go to bed; in short, your entire bio-data. And, you are a part of their never ending discussions. As much as I like the beauty and serenity of the villages, I do not like staying there for long just because of such an attitude by villagers.
Again, staying in cities after retirement is not a good idea as you can get exhausted of your money within no time. You just can not earn enough to have a comfortable retired city life. My choice will therefore be a small town which has decent enough facilities and is not as taxing as cities on your cash reserves.
My quest for such a place continues, though I have places like Dharwad, Sakleshpur and Karwar in mind. |
