Qn on drivers license

I have a license issued in mumbai...and i have relocated to Delhi. But now i have 3 address proofs - in UP, Delhi and Haryana.

1. Can i retain mumbai DL and get a brand new license in Del/HR/UP?

2. i can surrender mumbai DL and get a delhi license.
"how much" hassle its going to me and whats the procedure anyone?

why would you want to get another DL?
your existing DL is legal and valid all over India.

2. in case 1 gets confiscated, i can continue to use 2nd one...

I think you need to check the official line on holding multiple DLs. Since a DL is valid across India it is possible that holding multiple DLs could be termed illegal. So check on that.

By the way, if a license is confiscated by the police for some legally valid reason and then you are caught driving again with a different DL it may bring further grief upon you. So beware.
