Why did Sanjay Dutt get married to Manyata, of all places in Goa?

Why did Manyata take the pains of procuring a domicile certificate of Goa and went out of her way to prove that she stayed in the state for six months (or at least claimed so) to authorize her wedding with Sanjay Dutt?

The real reason and the hidden agenda,

As per the marriage laws of Goa, if a Goan female domicile certificate holder gets married in Goa, 50 % of the property of the male member is attributed to her name. Which means, in case of Sanjay Dutt and Manyata, 50% of Sanju’s property will now be under Manyata’s possession.

If you pay enough money in Goa anyone can get a domicile certificate. surprising but true, corruption has reaches abysmal levels in our tiny beautiful state. The guy who gave the domicile certificate has been suspended though.

Also Goa has Uniform Civil Code that is any 2 people from different religions can marry without any special laws and also what is mentioned above by diabloo, a very good law to have. But unfortunately not implemented all over India or we will have religious morons burning/slaughtering each other without knowing what it actually is.

IIRC, he did marry the woman with whom he had kids. Though it was many years after the kids were born. And they attended their parent's wedding too.

- he ruined his middle age by getting involved with gangsters
- now, he has alienated his daughter/sisters who stuck with him through tough times by marrying manyata
- he tried to get married to manyata in goa..did he not know or did no one tell him about the 50% property sharing rule?
- and there are rumors about manyata being pregnant & hence the hurried marriage...

But the actor has decided not to celebrate his birthday, as he was deeply hurt over the deaths of innocents in a wave of bomb explosions in Bangalore and Ahmedabad.

"I find no reason to celebrate my birthday when a large number of people have been killed in bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad," he told PTI over the telephone, from South Africa. "I feel saddened when innocent people are killed in terror attacks."

Dutt, who is in Cape Town for the shooting of his film, Blue, expressed anguish over reports that Mumbai was on the hit list of terrorists as well.

For the record: SP to field Sanjay Dutt from Lucknow

"In a surprise move, the Samajwadi Party on Thursday announced that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt would be its candidate from Lucknow for the Lok Sabha elections “subject to clearance by the Supreme Court and the Election Commission.” Mr. Dutt, who had been sentenced by the High Court under the Arms Act, would be the party’s star campaigner in the elections."

Point is, he very well knew he is on bail. The producers and people involved with him also knew that fact. Where is the Humanitarian consideration in this ? How could he sign up so many movies if he was on borrowed time and knew very well that he can be sent back to jail ?
