I hope the figure of 5k is meant to be weekly rent. Or you plan to stay in shared accommodation.
Bangalore is a costly city.

Contact IBM employees at Manyata office. They would have a bulletin board where you will get good leads.
5-6K for shared accommodation is a good enough budget.

Sorry for not specifying earlier, it's required for my family. My wife will be joining me shortly in bangalore. Any Houses available near Hebbal or RT Puram(guess I got the name correctly) or Cantonment?
I had booked a flat in Bangalore during the pre-launch stage by paying the booking amount.
It has been 2 months and now the builder has sent me an email inviting me to do the down payment of 20%. I told them that I need to get the document verified by a lawyer before I get sign the sale agreement.
What all document should I request from the builder for lawyer verification?
Appreciate your help.
Rgds,
Vinod
Can anyone suggest the growth potentials at Casa Rio Gold, Dombivali in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai/Thane? I have purchased an apartment there keeping the long term growth of the area - 5 years down the line.

Bus connectivity between Mangalore and Udupi is excellent. You have express buses every few minutes during peak hours. |

Express buses run between Udupi & Mangalore every 3-4 mins. The state transport runs a Volvo AC bus every half hour. Malpe is 5-6 kms from Udupi . You will have to shift to a city bus from Udupi. Total travel duration should be about 1and 1/2 hours one way.
I am not sure about the rentals but I guess should be anywhere between 15 to 20000 for a 3BHK apt in Mangalore and 10 to 15000 in Udupi. |
Thank you folks for the suggestions. However I have for now decided to give the Udupi option a slip. Would most probably shifting to Pune instead.
Thanks once again though.

Satellite townships like Dombivali are about 50kms approx from Mumbai downtown. The major and best connectivity to Dombivali is by suburban trains (local train) and roads do exist (via Navi Mumbai, Shilphata, and Thane, via Nasik Expressway, right turn to Shilphata). However road travel would take far longer to reach.
Local transport in Dombivali is via shared or unmetered rickshaws and rickety KDMT buses. Its quite undeveloped suburb especially the Western part, although the Eastern part is a bit better (near MIDC).
Bad roads abound, with lot of unfinished roads, encroachments and total lack of town or civic planning.
The new townships you have mentioned are a bit far off from Dombivali station and the only way of commute from there is via road to the station or highway. I am not sure if the planners have planned public transport to the locality or proper road connectivity to the highway.
Water and power situtations are bad, with the state power corporation performing load shedding of few hours each day during summers. Water supply is erratic and people depend on well/tanker water or borewells.
Current property rates in Dombivali stand at an inflated 4-5k/squarefoot, which as per property dealers is overpriced by atleast 20%. So expect a correction in the short term (2-4 years), there after an increase if any.
Present hype around areas like Dombivali/Badlapur/Kalyan is because builders had bought sick mill lands for cheap, and since Mumbai property prices are through the roof for the common man, market these destinations as the new Mumbai with luxurious living at much cheaper prices. The apartment complexes might have good facilites, but the supporting infrastructure is still not in place.
Hope this helps.
Does anyone know of ready to occupy flats in HSR Layout ,Bangalore sale? Any idea what the price range would be for a 3Bhk?
Dear Friends from Hyderabad,
I need a help from your end. I am planning to book a flat in Tambaram promoted by Sri Sreenivasa builders. They don't have any property to their credit in Chennai. I am not sure of their previous projects . As per their pamphlets all their pervious projects are from Hyderabad.
Can anyone throw some light on the credibility of builder?
thanks in advance
Barath
A builder here in Bangalore, from whom I and many others bought flats, is going ahead constructing parking lots outside the basement area (within the compound) and says these are for those who have booked flats towards the end.
This is a new place and many are still in the process of getting the property registered and a association is yet to be formed.
We have raised questions as to how the number of parking lots are not matching with the houses sold and remains as a question still with the builder in no mood to stop the construction and give us reasons.
As far as we know, it is clearly a violation (this area comes under BBMP limits) and the builder is not supposed to construct these parking lots outside the designated area.
Can anyone who has faced similar situation or best a advocate in this forum help us?
May i suggest that you disclose who the builder is? This would help those who are in the market for real estate and will probably help them take an informed decision and be cautious while dealing with such builders.

Ask for the sanctioned plans and that will clear some doubts. Also, you can do little if the parking lots are not covered and are within plot boundary. In most of the cases the builder can do such modifications as they fall in their 'disclaimers' and 'conditions apply' which state that they are free to modify plans as per the byelaws/sanctions etc.

Its Radiant Structures, and this is the 'Silver Bell' project near Hoodi Circle, Kodigehalli.

If you cross post your query in this thread too, maybe you'll get a quicker reply:
