Well reading all the posts I am really surprised at the number of people who have said they are least bothered about sleepy passengers.

I for one do look forward to some chatting while driving specially when friends are around. If its family I would rather have that quiet and peace when traveling during the day. But as Zappo has mentioned its when you are driving in the brink of the night that no matter what music you play, if you are on a GQ it gets monotonous, you feel drowsy , everything around you slows down, the music, the speed, it is as if you are driving in slow motion. In such times it really helps to have a chatty co-passenger. Takes out a lot of stress levels. Helps you concentrate better.

Not very sure cause never had any passenger sleeping while I'm driving..All my friends who travel with me prefer to make noise and talk while on a drive ;-) But what I found out that I feel lil' bit more stressed/fatigued after a long drive if I'm driving alone. But if there is company then I don't feel fatigued at all.So I think I do prefer, may be on back of my mind, my passenger(s) to be awake and keep chatting so that I don't feel alone.

It really doesn't bother me if the passengers doze off when I'm driving. I do get envious though, when we are returning home, late afternoon, from a sumptuous lunch and every one comfortably dozes of within secs of sitting in the car.

I do get annoyed ...If somebody starts to sleep in the front seat i will stop the car and tell 'em to shift to the back seat...Its better that way than driving seeing 'em sleep..

Somehow I always have people sleeping in my car when I am driving. Now that says a lot my driving . Never been bothered about them sleeping it off while I am driving my baby. Snoring of course can be a bother.

People dont get to sleep in my cars bcos of the bass most of the time
Jokes Apart, I have had my friends sleep off in my car many times coming back very late from parties, I play some light ambient music to set the mood better for them and not let me doze off.

No problemo. Im used to sleeping passengers. In fact, i prefer that the passengers sleep so i can enjoy the car and the roads without any bother.

When driving in US, i definitely do prefer sleeping passengers to yappy ones who eat my head. I would rather oogle at the cars over there!.

In India, well I would atleast want my front passenger awake, the more the eyes, the better!

Must say quite a few lucky blokes here! Now these passengers sleeping in your car, are they usually sleeping with their spouses, or something you manage on the road?

I'm envious that my passengers can see the view: I have to see the road.

It is nice to have a partner that drives. Time to resume my wife's lessons!
