These days I mostly use Zepto due to their competitive pricing and faster delivery. Earlier used to toggle between Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart. However I only order from these app at most 2-3 times a month and only during emergency situations. For regular monthly grocery supplies, BigBasket once or twice a month is sufficient.
Instamart is my preferred choice. As a college student, it's kind of useful to use Swiggy One (specially the lite version), it gives me free delivery on both food and Instamart + 50% discount on Dineout.
I use Swiggy instamart because they are quick, I use their food delivery and have Swiggy One membership. So, it is easy to use one app for all possible options provided they are good.
While I was typing above, got this in my mail box, I guess this is the future of 10 minutes delivery.
I use Tata Neu for BigBasket which offers 10 minute and regular delivery. Experience, Quality, availability of organic options, prices and offers have been good for long time now hence don’t hassle with other apps.
It has become primary source for us for grocery etc.
We naturally started using instamart as we were already using Swiggy for food delivery.
While I have heard good things about Blinkit and Zepto, convenience and inertia has kept me on instamart.
I use Swiggy for food delivery orders and have their premium subscription. Hence, simply use Swiggy Instamart. I have generally found whatever was needed quickly. But I am guessing Swiggy will not have the full service Indian grocery list.
I am using Swiggy instamart and always have been fan of swiggy one. In the beginning the minimum delivery charge was 99 rupees and it was perfect for a bachelor like me. Later they made it 199 but I still didn't mind much. But now they have brought swiggy one lite and only offers 10 free deliveries. So now I have shifted to Blinkit/Zepto.
I don’t use any of the 10 minutes quick delivery apps. I prefer walking to nearby stores to purchase daily needs food items. Hence, I voted for “None” option.
Blinkit only as it is literally blanket.
Twice I have ordered Onions while my maid has put oil for heating on the gas :) and it literally comes before it starts burning out.
Swiggy INstamart is unfortunately not delivering in our area.
Zepto is ready to cheat it customers at the drop of a hat. Unless you are vigilant enough and select the free delivery option even after being a plus member, you will be charged for delivery.
I ended up paying delivery charges on few occasions and discovered this malpractice after losing few hundred rupees in delivery charges. Now I have made it a habit to click on the free delivery button.
The last and only time I needed something urgently in 10 mins was the specialist doctor and unfortunately there’s no app who can send a surgeon at home, so I had to drive to the hospital in pain !
I would never use and encourage such apps in the first place, which will create safety hazard on the roads for the drivers/riders or other road users, just because I need to satiate my hunger.
Last time when I was in India and after dinner during a casual walk, I just saw crazy 2 wheeler riding, probably in a hurry to deliver the food to the customers in 10 mins. It was scary to walk on the roads.
If at all something is needed, I will plan for it way ahead in time, depending on the criticality of the requirement.
Is there an app for 10mins ambulance ? That is what I would think I will use, if at all !
I chose none, because 10 minutes is still too late to pander to my desires.
When I want it, I want it now.
I wonder how instant delivery would take place? Perhaps by keeping a tab on the content being watched/heard (Smart TV, mobile phones, tables), content being discussed (Alexa etc), content being thought (Neuralink?) and guessing what this person will need and by when. So, until that zenith moment of human consumerism - I will pass this fad and consume only the stuff that I plan for in the long term (and thus based on rational decisions & delayed gratification)
Decided to order a watch on blinkit today as a gift for my dads birthday and it was a very poor experience.
Order was initiated and was delivered within 8 minutes, but when we opened the box, there was no watch inside!
Had to contact the support team who agreed to pick it up and refund the order.
Refund was processed as soon as the delivery man picked it up, we were scheduled to leave for a program. The delivery guy returned after 5 minutes and said that the managers at the store thought he stole the watch and are refusing to believe him.
The problem was that I dint get an option to say that the entire item was missing. I did mention it to the support team but no one reads anything properly I guess.
As we dint want the delivery boy to get into trouble (he would get a penalty), In the end had to go down to the blinkit store and show them the unboxing video after which they took the product back which is resulting in us going late for the program.
Definitely not an everyday incident but my mom won't let me order anything on blinkit again atleast.
