I have simply reduced shopping overall, but Amazon still remains my go to app and I find it the best online seller among the choices available.

Hate Flipkart, tried Tat CLiq but wasn't that impressed.

I used to be a huge fan of Amazon, till last year, when I had ordered whole bunch of products and among them were a couple of Lavazza mugs. When are received the order, instead of the mugs, there was some cheap coffee sent in its place. So I complained to Amazon and that resolution took multiple days. Its just great that I have a good resolution camera in my living room, so I could have sent a proof, if they asked for it, but it was an hassle.
But my trust in amazon is shattered, won't be buying from them as much as I did before.

I am using Amazon service since 2018. I regularly watch Amazon prime videos and also use Amazon pay for making bill payments regularly. I live in a rural place, yet the speed of amazon delivery is fast and reliable.

There is hardly anything that I dont buy from amazon. From toothpaste, soaps to electronic gadgets. I have been shopping from Amazon since 2014-15 and have faced some issues now and then but they were always easily resolved. Genuine returns are very easy and refunds are fast. Not one sour experience instead have received free goodies at times. I have their Pay later service and Amazon branded ICICI card which is a big advantage in terms of cashback. I will continue to shop from there in the near future. I hardly visit physical stores and grocery shops anymore. I receive an amazon parcel or more almost everyday. Deluvery guy is almost like family now ��

Have been using Amazon almost since they started operations in India for small items to
big-ticket purchases.
Had always preferred Amazon over any other competitor.

Never had any issues so far in 8-9 years.
But, just in last one year I have seen all kinds of issues with it - Missing Items, Wrong items, Deliveries delayed beyond promised date, etc. :disappointed
Although they would eventually resolve the issues, it is becoming cumbersome...seems like their service is going down the hill.

I shop extensively online. I work for an ecommerce company and hence its natural I guess. My clothes, shoes, electronics items, accessories, any and every thing. First because of items availability. Its hard to find items in an offline store and takes a bunch of time in city traffic.

I do shop a lot on amazon, but default to Flipkart as items are much more economical and there are good deals from bank cards. For example, I had my eyes on a Puma Motorsport sneakers which were about 70 -80 pounds in the UK

Same item in Amazon India was around Rs 6300.

Got it from Flipkart at around Rs 4100.

Yes, sometimes items get delivered late but it would take a lot more time for me to visit an offline store and there is no guarantee that the item would be present.

So short answer : yes, I still shop at Amazon / Flipkart.

Amazon India is run by Indians the Indian way - which clearly started to show up in the last few months or even a year.

I faced :

1. No delivery attempted but status says either attempted or even delivered. We will get refund by why the hell?

2. Delayed delivery even though status says attempted delivery

3. No delivery at all simply for unknown reasons.

4. Worst quality furnitures. They did not even last a year. I have very bad experience in furnitures from Amazon.

5. Price quoted high for some big ticket electronic items like camera etc. Brick and mortar shop offering some staggering discount i.e. even less than the price quoted in Amazon US. Forget about Amazon India.

6. Flipkart offered better pricing atleast on 3 occasions which were big ticket items. 2 macbooks airs and apple watch ultra. Amazon did have MacBook air 2 price quoting alsot 60-70k more or sometimes not even available. Some arrangement with apple india, flipkart and the apple reseller. M1 is available in Amazon India but not in Flipkart. M2 available in Flipkart for 80k plus while amazon quoted more or simply no stock.

6a. Flipkart has many items listed with decent pricing but amazon doesn't even have it. Something fishy.

7. Quality and reliability of the products are deteriorating over a period of time.

8. Do a search for apple airpod or watch ultra and you will see the fake products listed on top (costing 1000 rs etc); Unassuming might easily fall for it. Looks like amazon reduced the human intervention less and less for curation.

I still buy certain items after careful consideration and thorough checking. But the no. of high price items I ordered are less and less nowadays. I'm spoilt with Amazon US service when I was out of India. But Amazon India is fighting with flipkart and meesho etc here. So they have to play all kinds of games. Add to this us Indians always find a way to cheat whenever there is a slight opportunity. If amazon faces any kind of quality and integrity scrutiny that's all squarely to be blamed on the sellers and courier delivery guys who has no ethics or integrity. Not an Amazon problem, I strongly believe. No offense, patriots. But this is the fact. Amazon need to invest more and put more and more checks to counter these cheats rather than expansion that's sad.

I have a simple algo

for things below 10k INR i just buy on Amazon. If it exceeds then i go for brick and mortar. For some custom brands like Puma And Adidas i go to their brand website itself

For me, contrary to most of the views expressed here, my shopping on Amazon has quadrupled. From my new iPhone 16 plus to my refrigerator, microwave and LED to my home improvement stuff and even pharmacy, everything possible is now on Amazon. My major attraction has been the customer service support, them honouring warranty claims and returns made so easy. I hope this tryst continues.

My go to shopping site is still Amazon and have had very good experience with them so far. I do have an ICICI Amazon Credit card and since I invariably spend 2 to 3 lakhs per month on it (paid off by the end of the month), I get Amazon cash anywhere between 1500 to 3000 Rs per month. Bummer is that they stopped allowing me to buy Kindle books using this cash back points but otherwise cool

I think the answer is YES. My personal spending from Amazon had tanked south since last 2-3 years. The fake products are big turn off.

I still buy some stuff from amazon which are utilitarian in nature and low risks like cables, Dewali candles etc. But no big ticket item now from amazon for me.

I do my shopping from a shopping mall in my city. The goods that are not available in the mall like photo frames, specific dishwasher salts, small hardware items or specific spares are bought from Amazon. The reason being the unavailability of parking space for my car in the local bazaars. So for me, the criteria is very straightforward.

Amazon is still my go to place for most of my purchases. Many products sold in Amazon are hard to find in local stores. Also except 1 or 2 bad experiences in a year, their return and refund process is a breeze.

My purchases of few items in Amazon has reduced. Instamart is more convenient for daily use items. For mobile phones, I have switched to brand stores, who offer matching discounts and add on products. Croma has always been my go to place for white goods.

Amazon deliveries and customer care has gone for a toss. Fake products galore. Delivery guys cancelling orders randomly. No way to discipline them. Customer service is a joke. Amazon has truly become Amazon India now.
