my favorite is "tum to thehre pardesi...saath kya nibhaoge" by Altaf Raja.
and "dhobaniya se pyaar hui gaya raama"
Film: Phir Subah Hogi
Lyrics: Sahir
Chin-o-arab hamaara
hindostaan hamaara
rehneko ghar nahin hai, saara jahaan hamaara
sone ko hum kalandar
aate hai bori bandar
har ik kuli yahaan ka
hai raazdaan hamaara
jitni bhi buildingen thi
sethon ne baatli hai
footpaath bambai ke, hai aashiyaan hamaara
koli (?) bhi chhin gayi hai
benchen bhi chhin gayi hai
sarkon pe ghoomta hai
ab kaarvaan hamaara
jeben hai apni khaali
mite tawar mein gaali
voh santari hamaara
voh paasbaan hamaara
taalim hai adhuri
milti nahin majoori
ma'lum kya kisi ko
dard-e-nihaan hamaara
patla hai haal apna
lekin lahu hai gaada
faulaad se banaa hai
har naujawaan hamaara
mil-jul ke is watan ko
aisa sajaaenge hum
ghairat se mu sakegaa
...saara jahaan hamaara
"Ek aankh maaru toh parda phat jaaye, dooji aankh maaru toh kaleja kat jaaye" from Himmatwala. The emotions expressed in the lyrics have been touching my innermost parts since eternity. Another "touching" number for me is "ghusat nahi raja choliya mein goliya" from some bhojpuri film. Really touching.
Crazy Train by Sabbath:
Lyrics go:
Crazy, but thats how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe its not too late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate
Mental wounds not healing
Lifes a bitter shame
Im going off the rails on a crazy train
Ive listened to preachers
Ive listened to fools
Ive watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you have the role
Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
Im going off the rails on a crazy train
I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words
Yeh-h
Heirs of a cold war
Thats what weve become
Inheriting troubles Im mentally numb
Crazy, I just cannot bear
Im living with something that just isnt fair
Mental wounds not healing
Who and whats to blame
Im going off the rails on a crazy train
Sniff !!! The song's that Panky & Ishan mentioned brought back some very nice memories. Thanks guys for making me relive that moment.:D
Another of my favourites -
Lucky Kabootar - Unknown Artist
Choli Ke Peeche - Khalnayak
Meri Pant bhi - Khudaar
O kehendi po - Partner
And of course the all time current favourite of India - The hottest of them all - the most emotional song ever made -
Beedi Jalaeele, Jigar mein Piya, yeh duniya badi ........ - OMKARA
Cheers !!! Varun Kochar

ROTFLMAO :uncontrol
Very Touching Song's Indeed
IMHO any Dylan songs makes an emotional impact.
Leading the pack would be:
Blowin' In the wind
Desolation Row
John Brown
Apart from this a very dark (extremally dark) impact is made if one listens to the entire album "The America Prayer"
'Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon' by Lata Mangeshkar gets me very patriotic
'Pehla Nasha' from the movie 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander' and 'Nyabagam Varudhu' from the tamil movile 'Autograph' reminds me of those good old college days

LOL...I especially like the part where he goes "Subah pehli....Subah pehli":uncontrol
Also the song ' Kaanta Laga - Hai Laga - aa ja na bangle ke peeche meri..... '' is very close to my heart.
Then there is '' Meri beri ke ber mat toro, koi kaanta chub jaayega '' - Sanobar
Atlaf Raja of course is the best of the best, Last seen at the 2007 Grammy's receiving the best International Male Solo Artist :D
Ab tumahare Hawale Watan Sathiyon sung by Mohd. Rafi this one really moves you and all the more if one watches the video also
"Chad gaya uper re, attariya pe lotan kabootar re" and "nain kabootar ud gaye dono". Sniff sniff, I don't think I'll be able to hold back my tears anymore.

Man! where are you getting all these from? Such emotional impact on one human being is almost intolerable! Poor you!

How cruel... nobody has till now mentioned the awesome number from our very own Himesh - Jhalak Dikhlaja ... even the ghosts loved the song!! ;)
