460 points (92%). Not bad eh? considering I'm a commerce guy

I guessed all the pulley questions... somehow got all correct except one Also got the 'naturally aspirated engine' question wrong. If only I'd read Rehaan's post first.

Nice quiz though.. enjoyed it!!

440/400 - 88%

Fan question was confusing by a mile. However only one question threw up a pop-up saying correct, wonder which went wrong. Lot of details are in the wording!

Lol! Right hand thumb rule ?!?! Why unnecessarily confuse yourself with all these EMF fundas n all...

Simply put, one fan is pushing air, the other is receiving that air. So obviously they will be spinning in opposite directions.
HOWEVER, thats where the problem lies (with the wording/diagram), because if you look at the fans from behind one fan or the other, they are spinning in the SAME direction. (but if you look at each fan individually from the same relative viewpoint they are spinning in opposite directions). And from the in the middle viewpoint like in the picture you basically get to choose how you want to look at the fans, wherein the problem lies.

Some of the pulley questions, the fan question, & the intake question got me too :(

I remember I used to be fascinated with a DOS game called 'machines' or something, it's a series of puzzles, & you have to accomplish something, like knocking down objects, using basket-*****, & stuff. The higher level puzzles were wicked !
It was called TIM (The Incredible Machine), or is that not the one you refer to?

I said similar game. It was an online version too...no downloading or anything, and there was a bit of a TBHP competition/collaboration going on to see who could get to what level.

Why do you say it is wrong? I think their "correct" answer is the more correct answer.

Yes It is also correct only. But I felt it was ambiguous with the second option - 'from suction caused by piston going down' which is also appropriate.
