AAH 78 - I'm surprised to learn that both your BMW and MERC have H rated tyres. Shouldn't they have been V and above? Afterall, both these cars can do well over 210kmph.

Esteem : Michelin Certis 175/70 on stock 13" rims - Very durable - lasted me 55000 Km of stupidly rash driving, highways with the surface of the moon , 3 autocrosses...and yet only one of the tyres needs replacing - the other 4 will last a bit, and decently grippy with good braking stability and good grip in the wet as well - a thousandfold improvement over the stock 155/80 DUnlop Gliders.

Palio Adventure 1.6 : (stock) 175/80 Pirelli CityNet All Weather on some very sexy stock 14" alloys - these tyres are amazing in the dirt, but have become horribly worn.

Baleno : Michelin MXF Sport - 195/60 R14 on 5 spoke Aura Alloys - seem nice but havent really pushed the car more than i used to push my esteem so cant really rate them.

quick question : The Pirellis need to be changed - are they available in the market and will i get them if i go to 195/(whatever size matches the original dia/circ) ? or should I get other tarmac oriented tyres - they'll be more practical but dilute the car's character a bit. (It's really the best stock amateur rallyist's car in India - too bad Fiat's management and dealers have the marketing and business sense of a retarded donkey)

I have Michelin tubeless radials on my Scorpio ( LTX 235/75R15,) which have done approx 9000 kms . I make it a point to check my tyre pressure weekly on cold tyres however I find my tyre pressure down by at least 4-5 pounds each week is this normal? This is with normal city driving that too in pune !( cant go beyond 40kmph) have checked for punctures etc also.

What do you guys think could be the problem ? Pressure guage that I use is the same every week also calibrated with one particular pump where I fill air.

Any ideas?

Well both those cars are luxury ie S and 7, so im sure ride quality played a large part in tire choice.

zen bridgestone doughnuts 145/70 with 13 inch rims , considered putting thicker rubber but feared a fall in the ride due to the car being 3 yrs old when i got the tyres

guys ,

as i had mentioned earlier ,i was not at all happy with the handling and overall performance pf my 155/65r13 goodyear GT3 tires with 5.5j Neo rims.

actually it seems that even 145/70r13 tires will touch and foul with the body if used with 5.5jrims

so i have changed to 165/60r13 bridgestone potenza g3 with 5j aura rims.now the handling has imroved tremendously .also it doesnt touch anywhere .

What made you choose the GS D2 over the GS D3?

dude dunt ask!! i am bloody furious over that issue, i went to almost all the places in bombay and spoke to most of the guys in delhi.... but none of them had the D3s in 16"s !! They had D3s in 15" and 17" but nothin in 16"

and anways i am not too happy with the D2s!! Doesnt give good braking!! Locks up quite easily!

You should try the GIIIs. I can't compare them to the D2s since i haven't driven a Vtec with those on but, the GIII has given me a lot more than i'd expected.
