98 Carb Zen (48k)
Stock 145/70R13 Bridgestone with pressed steel rims. Thinking of an upgrade to tubeless, still not decided whether to upsize or not.. I am not that speed freak.... ride quality in pothole ridden roads are imporatant to me... Will probably go for either Bridgestone or Michellin and aura/neo alloys.

I recently upgraded my wife's Santro tyres/wheel.

Original---------------------------New
------------------------------------------
Bridgestone----------------------Hankook
322s------------------------------Optimo H415
155/70R13-----------------------165/65R13
Tubetype-------------------------Tubeless
Steel Rim-------------------------Aura 13x5J Alloys

The alloys were from a new Baleno that was upgraded recently to 14 inchers, got it for 9K. The ride quality has more than doubled eventhough I have reduced the profile. The car has much more zip and handling is better. It feels much more powerful now, although I can't explain how.

Sunday morning on M.G road I saw this Swift Vxi which had blue alloys on 205/50R15 Yokohamas. Looked so stunning, I didn't really notice the car color, think it was black. Does it belong to anybody from T-BHP?

The Swif you're talking about is a regular at Airlines. Yeah, it looks pretty damn pimpin! I think he must be running atleast 205s, if not more. It is black, btw...

But you have to ask yourself, what is the car doing? I bet you could run faster than it!

I have used till now

1. 145/80 R 13 in my Uno 1.2 They were Bridgestones (S248 or S 322 cant remember) tube type and were used for 48K before I got bored and threw them away...good mileage but lot of road noise and poor wet grip
2. 155/80 R 13 Michelin Tubeless on my Uno 1.2 : have done 20000 kms...on them and while they are again very wear resistant and look decent, have lower road noise compared to Bridgestones...have still not imporved my ride quality much...maybe my suspension is getting old
3. 165/80 R 13 Bridgestones on Baleno : Used them for 2 days before I exchanged them for alloy and goodyears...very decent ride...
4. 185/65 R 14 Goodyear Eagle NCT 5 on Baleno : Best tyres I have used till now...very good ride, grip and comfort and minimal road noise. However, seem to wear much faster compared to my earlier tyres...guess wont last more than 30k

Without any other performance mods, 205 tyres may actually have detrimental affect. Isn't Swift much heavier than Baleno.

) Zen LX - Replaced stock 145/70 r13 goodyear gps2 tube type on steel wheels with 165/65 r13 Michelin Certis tubeless tyres on Traxx rims 5.5 x 13. Did nearly 42k kms on it in about 3 years and they still had some life in it, when I sold the car. Okay Dokey tyres, a decent balance of everything.

2) Palio 1.6 GTX - Replaced stock 175/65 r14 Bridgestone s322 tube type tyres on OE Fiat alloys 5.5 x 14 with 185/60 r14 Dunlop Formula Fm901 tubeless uni directional tyres on OE alloys. Ride is a bit more stiff and a lot more sporty. Can really attack the curves with confidence now. A little noisy but turn on my stereo and the noise is gone.

10-20 kgs heavier depending on teh variant...the real issue is that it comes with 1.3 litre engine
