ICICI does it again- farmer commits suicide in Mysore

as per news report in TOI today a farmer in mysore committed suicide due to harassment by ICICI officers. it seems he has taken a loan to buy tractor. EMI is 48K to be paid every six months. he has paid one installment and for the second he paid 40K. so he got notice from bank on Dec 3rd and on 4th dec the bank officer with goons came and humiliated him in front of all and took tractor away. this despite the pleadings of the farmer that he will pay 8k with in few days. the farmer wrote a suicide note and consumed pesticide and died

I am sure this must have the blessings of the management of ICICI. Otherwise, these "goons" will not be so tough with the customers.

Very sad to say the least.

This is sad, they should not be doing this to the farmers and that too when promised the rest of the money in few days.

The Village/town should get together on this and protest against ICICI, close down their branch there.

If this saga continues, icici will have to discontinue or stop there commercial vehicle loans, there has been number cases in and around karnataka in which icici has involved with commercial vehicles.
