Last year i made a resoultion to reach a certain financial stage and i am almost there.
Gosh, I take that as a strong compliment and congratulations to you on achieving what you set out to this year. Am glad you could benefit from that post.

Progress has to be as a constant. To stand still is the same as moving backward.

First the usual suspects:

1. Give up smoking
2. Give up drinking (damn, this is so difficult!)
3. Slim down (another difficult proposition )

The more relevant ones:

1. Adhere to traffic rules to the best
2. More patient with other drivers on the road
3. Pimp my ride (2001 Lancer SLXi)

I guess thats enough for the New Year. Rest later

What are your new year resolutions?

Hello,

Now that we are in the new year, if not everyone atleast a few thousands of people on TBHP must have had a resolution. Lets get to know the resolutions that will make your life easier on Road and also the life of other easier.

I have made 3 resolutions, which I will stick on.
  1. Control my temper on road, avoid a road rage. Will not yell back no matter who's fault it is. I have already started reaping benefits within 2-3 days. I am much happier, my fellow occupants are not pissed.
  2. Will follow the Signals, unless I am in Critical Emergencies.
  3. Will not Honk unnecessarily.
I Hope these 3 resolutions will bring around a lot of change within me, and also benefit my fellow road mates.

Deepak,

I havent been doing any of the three you have mentioned. Forget Honking unnecessarily, i dont Honk at all.

So let me think of something i can make as a resolution.

Anyway, A very happy 2010 to you.

Safe Driving !

2010 planned accomplishments and 2011 resolutions plan..

Well with November ending now, its a time of the year, when one looks back on the target to completion for all things that one planned for the year, and also the time when one has to start planning for the next year.

Let me know what were the resolutions that you had made during the year begining or plans that you had set for this year?, of this what all were you able to accomplish?
Additonally, in case if you have planned anything for 2011 let us discuss on what your plans for next year are.

As for me, my resolution for the beginning was as follows:
I was weighing 85 kgs during the year beginning, I had made a determination to reduce atleast 7-8 kgs by year end.

Finally I had during my peak reduced to 72 kgs (helped mainly by my China trip where I did not have anything to eat ), now I am happily weighing 76kg, which is very satisfactory.

Do you have any such success story with respect to resolutions??

Nice thread!

I had two super important goals for 2010.

1) Score enough (or more ) on my IB final exams to the get into the university and course of my choice.

2) Get my Swedish driving license.

Missions accomplished!

well here goes mine,

1) am working on new venture, to see it take off and do well.
2) used to have couple of beers during weekends.to stop it forever.
3) get back my fitness levels to the levels i had 2 years back.
4) Get back to my regular yoga classes without fail.
5) Get back to my good eating habits, i mean i used to not eat ghee, pickles and any
kind of fried eatables.
6) To find lots of time for my family.

I am damn sure of doing all these with little discipline and focus.

My New year resolution*:

1) Stop Smoking & loose weight/maintain healthy diet - ASAP.

2) Stick to Traffic rules

3) Spend more quality time with family.

*These are subject to change upon time to time and hence are not measurable.

What's your New Year Resolution?

One of the most cliched questions in the world, But we'd still give it a go. A change, for good!

For me, I'm giving up on Junk Food! Or so I wish. Not that I'm addicted or sorts, better safe than sorry eh?

Gave up fags back in 06 NY, not a puff since then
