I know that writing numbers on any vechicle in english make sense but at the same time, I also feel that isn't it funny that our national language is Hindi and its against the traffic rule to have a number plate written in hindi.

and why not allow i to be written in all other 14 languages too?

English is more legible than other languages and its kind of ISO certified

Its not the care ROC. Apprantly if you choose any number, however random, you need to pay a premium. I was asked 7.5k for the No. 7569

In Chikmagalur ( KA -18) one has to shell out 25K to RTO for a selected number for a 4 wheeler.
In Sakleshpur ( KA - 46) it's around 10 - 15K
Bangalore I have not much idea probably it's around 25K.

How close were you in catching your neighboring number in vehicles ?

For eg. If your number is KA 20 M 1234 for Indica White, Did you ever catch a person whose vehicle number is close to 1200 series ? And whats the probability if its a Indica ? Whats the probability its White !

Mine is KA 53 79** series, Swift Silver. Not only I saw a Silver Siwft with KA 53 79** series, he was just 4 digits away from my number. Wanted to draw his attention by honking, but couldn't. But the feeling was good to know that your neighbor is also a owner of Silver Swift.

My friend had 155 number in K series which reads as KISS. But we need to be careful if we select this number as somebody can kiss us from behind.
