Just a 1-post thread that tells how it happened would be enough. The thread can then be locked and no further comments/posts should be allowed on that thread.
I have the same opinion. I have been going through this thread from since I came to know about it this morning, unbelievable... I checked my PM as I was in touch with RT last month and luckily have not deleted his PM's, as I generally do with other PM's. May be a single post on what happened would be helpfull for other riders and RT's dear ones. Heart felt condolences to his family.

Rest in peace Rtech brother....
Though i never got to meet this wonderful person, i had some personal communications with him. I still have the cycle rack that he sent me last year in my car trunk. I will keep it there forever. I amways wished to meet you someday personally and convey my thanks but now can't imagine that it is never going to happen.

My deepest condolences to his family. Rest in peace Rtech....

My heartfelt condolences to Rtech's family. May his soul rest in peace.

Was shellshocked to see the announcement(I saw it only on Monday), left a lump in my throat though I never knew him personally - but from his posts on this forum and another.

My father died in an accident when I was in school. I can imagine what his family is going through. What we should do now is to support his family in whatever way we can and pray for him. May Allah bless him and his family.

After a tearful adieu to our dear Robin at the Tower of Silence I have just one thing to add.....

"On Earth One Gentle Soul The Less,.....
In Heaven, One Angel More."

May The Lord Grant Farnaz, His Family and All Friends, Strength To Bear The Irreparable Loss. Sleep Peacefully Brother!! RIP!!

In 2003 my cousin brother passed away in a bike accident. He was my age... just entering the prime of his life, ready to conquer the world. Not too dissimilar from Robin. That incident has had had an enormous impact on my life, in more ways than I would care to explain. Till this day, I feel a sadness when I see his parents (my aunt and uncle). I can imagine what Robin's family will be going through.
One thing my cousin's accident has done is made me forever wary of 2 wheelers. End of the day, no matter how good a rider you are, somebody else's mistake can cost you dearly. People in cars still have a chance...
Anyway, this is not an anti-bike post. Just venting a little.... I have been seriously shaken by Robin's demise. Goes to show, that even the best of us are susceptible to a cruel twist of fate.

I would tend to agree with Ajmat. Let's leave all talks of how it happened out of this thread. If someone is curious, s/he can make enquiries offline. The cause isn't important any more.

Here's to you Robin. Never got to know you in this lifetime... will rectify that in the next. Peace.
