Makes me realise, for all our cribs, we live in a relatively stable and safe country *crosses fingers and touches wood*.
I second that! If not all of India, at least Mumbai has matured well to peaceful co-existence. Proof is the umpteen number of attempts to spark off communal riots and the resolve of Mumbai to stay undeterred, peaceful and united. Besides, the after hours of the July 2006 bombings were exemplary of bonding and humanity. Strangers were helping strangers in every way possible - offering water, biscuits etc. That's why I say "Mumbai meri jaan!" And even more so now because I'm figuratively "seven seas away from home."
Discussions involving politics or religion are to be avoided, due to their highly subjective nature which can lead to volatile and inconclusive debates.
Besides, we've most of the informations on newspapers.
