Breaking News! Benazir Bhutto Assasinated!!

I just saw this on DD News. Ms. Benazir Bhutto was killed by a sniper bullet after a rally at Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

Taliban is suspected to be behind this assasination.

Damn! This does no wonders for our neighbourhood. All said & done she was still a hope for bringing some order in Pakistan.

Let's hope this does not trigger a Civil War or Revolt of sorts there & deteriorate the situation further.

P.S. Consipracy theories welcome! Should be fun to read!!

True. Unrest in the immediate neighborhood especially in a one possessing nuclear weapons is no good. Hope peace is restored in the region.

Could be anybody from Mush to CIA to KGB or our own RAW, apart from Islamic fundamentalists.

Anyway, very tragic. Benazir was no saint, but at least she stood for democracy and was forward-looking. And she was a mother of three. Cannot but help feel sad for her and her family.

NDTV.com: BENAZIR BHUTTO ASSASSINATED

Yes she was a daring woman, but coming back to Pakistan was probably too much daring.

i think more than daring, it was love for the motherland that brought her back.

She was a hope for pak for sure. but as far as emocracy is concerned, i think pak would be as failed a democracy as india. remember, the power goes to "people" in democracy, and they are so vulnerable.

Even Nawaz Shariff's rally has been attacked. As per news, the intelligence agency in Pakistan has been suspecting for long that top politicians are going to be attacked.

Oh my god! This is going to be bad. Now, our neighboring country is going to burn more. Many innocents will be killed, many looted, many raped. All for what? I'm feeling ashamed myself being a human being. We've fallen way below animal's stature.

Now, regarding Mrs. BHUTTO, she was the only hope that nation had to restore a proper political and democratic system. She was brave enough to stand against all tyrannity and evil bodies. She had to face some very bad times which may have made even men think twice. I remember a very recent interview she exclusively had with Outlook magazine just before her return to her home country from Dubai. I was always a good follower of her more than any other leader of that country.
Mr. Bhutto himself was killed in the name of politics and now his daughter too. May god have mercy on that family.

Rest in peace, Benazir! We'll pray for you.

Very Sad. Have been following it on telly from the time it happened. Very sad news and a very tragic end to a very charismatic leader. All this when the relations between our two countries were becoming better.
Brave woman, to have ducked the first few bullets and then get pumped with so many bullets. I term this assassination as an act of cowardice. May her soul rest in Peace.
