Prefer joints east of MG Rd.
For Appam and Stew ,You should try Koshy's restaurant near Anil Kumble circle.

Re: A Guide: Eating out in Bangalore

If you like Idli, Vada, Uppittu, Kesari Bath (don't remember them having anything else on their menu) and a hot coffee try Brahmins Coffee Bar
The place is on Ranga Rao Road, Near Shankar Math, Shankarpuram. Close by to National college as well.

If this is the Menu then there are alot of eatout spots in Malleshwaram area:
  1. Raghavendra stores in Malleshwaram railway station compound.
  2. Veena stores Malleshwaram 15th cross
  3. Surya refreshments Malleshwaram 11th cross

Brahmins coffee bar is an iconic place and that menu has stayed for years and still brought in large crowds, if you haven't tried do try it.
Yes, am familiar with the other places you've mentioned.

I love this place, though its been some time I visited.

There is another place in BSK 2nd Stage. Very small place just before McD near BDA complex. I think name is SLV. Awesome idli, vada, chutney.

Brahmins coffee bar has its own special taste that probably no other place can match.

I must admit it is just out of the world.

If you haven't got the directions yet.

letting you know of the route from Bellandur to Madhuram resturant .

1) Belladur flyover ----> Suncity Flyover ----> HSR/Agara flyover -----> HSR BDA complex flyover ( so total of 4 flyovers).
2) Immediately after the HSR BDA flyover take the first left , the left is at the tip of the exit .Just ensure that you are at the extreme left at the flyover, so as soon as you exit the flyover (less than 50m's) you can take a left .
3) take a immediate right , this will be the road that will be parallel to the outer ring road .
4) after 500 meters you will reach a junction(4 way junction) take a left and if you go 100 meters you will find the Reddy supermarket on your right and above the Reddy supermarket you will find madhuram.

Another easy way to get here is after the HSR/BDA complex flyover go straight on the outer ring road and you will hit a traffic signal . Take left from the traffic signal and 200 meters on your right you will find the place.

Absolutely!!! Maiyas coffee is the best coffee in Bangalore! Without a doubt. I haven't had it in silver tumbler, I normally stand outside on ground floor and have it. Just order 'extra strong' and it is mindblowing.

Re: A Guide: Eating out in Bangalore

+100 to all the SLV's idly vada fans here. My 2 cents

-There is a small place called SN Bhat refreshment in JP Nagar first phase. Good for idly vada and masala dosa.
-Ganesh Darshan AKA Dose camp in jayanagar 4th block serves good coffee and masala dose.
