You know thats just a reason to avoid spenting on autocop. My car is rarely parked in public unless its for unavoidable situations. Never needed an extra security so far. My previous car had it installed, but I used to switch off the reverse music whenever its inside the living compound. Its such a pain for others. But still people use all kinds of rubbish music. Majority of the time I wake up from my sleep with this nuisance reverse music of others.

my friend faced a similar problem, he had gone out of station and for some reason, kept the engine running and had got out of the car. The remote has done an automatic locking and they were stuck up without a spare key and far away in a village. upon the instructions of the service guys, they had to break the bonnet grille and disconnect the battery wires.

From then on, i always fear the remote locking mechanisms.

I am not trying any of these, would rather walk back and lock the car. my head's got better things to do.

this is getting very common.

Two of my friend's wifes did a similar thing.

Typically they get into the car at home and notice they have forgotten something.

The baby is all strapped up in the car seat, and they leave the car on because of the a/c, and get out.

Come back to find the car locked and still running.

The good thing is since the a/c is on, the baby cannot suffocate or the car get very hot inside.

Then its about breaking the smallest and cheapest looking window.

One little doubt: if I bounce the beam of someone else's head will his car get unlocked or still mine?

This is a good one, havent tried any of this yet, but the head is supposed to act as an antenna for boosting the signals of the remote.

Depends. You gotta have a head for cars. Petrolheads find cars faster.

Sadly, i tried and it didnt work for me. This is what i tried -
I stood aprox 5 ft away from a point from the remote range. Then i pointed the remote towards centre of my forehead (third eye area) and clicked on unlock button. Nothing happened. Then i pressed panic button and nothing happened.
I moved the remote to top of my left eye and right eye as well and tried again but nothing happened.
Then i tried with remote pointing to my left and right ears - like a gun pointed at head and tried but nothing happened.

jvsatish - how did u try? can you please elaborate? i usually cant find my car so if this works, then it would be great.

Talking about lost cars, someone my dad works with went on holiday. They parked their car near the hotel in a side street. All was going well till they got drunk one night. Next day they could not find the car. They phoned the police and reported it as stolen. Several weeks passed and the police phoned them to tell them there car was parked in a side street near the hotel. The muppets had forgot where they had parked their car and reported it as stolen.

I too have tried this out. It did not work.
I pointed the remote towards my head at various angles. No luck.
Does a head HAVE to have brains inside it for this thing to work??

Man it works ! Just tried it. I am seating infront of my lappy. My car is on road outside. When I press the button without touching remote to my forehead, I don't hear the lock/unlock sound. But when I press it after touching to forehead, I can hear the lock/unlock sounds from my car !
