I'd bet they are still around. Call Popular directly.

@ Ankit : If they didn't move off the lot for 11 years, why would the next 3 make a difference?

Was in Chennai yesterday, saw one of these while travelling from Adyar to Rajib Gandhi Salai. Looked pretty impressive given the age.

Popular Cars has bought a yard at Navi Mumbai a year ago, i think i saw a few of those Montegos lying there, in quite bad shape though.
Ideally just call Popular Cars directly, i'm sure they will accept whatever little you feel like offering, they've probably written the cars off as dead stock by now.

Some were even dented. One had a broken tail light. Interiors were still intact and had that new look to it. Guess Popular got the entire stock of the unsold Montego's now at a throwaway price from the factory.

Whats the status of these cars?I mean are they till there (cant be),or completely disappeared?
It has been approximately 10 years from the original posting.

Hello CaliforniaKnight - I believe the cars would have been scrapped since they all got submerged in the 2006 floods. There is now an office complex on this site - so definitely the cars would have got scrapped.
