Used to be Thursday /Friday in the old days till 2006. This meant we did business with the world only on Mon, Tue, Wed.

Now at least we have 4 working days in common with the rest of the world. Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu.

Friday is off because of Friday prayers and Saturday, most of the world has a weekend.

The Dubai Shopping Festival starts on January 3 and there is bound to be a grand opening. Get a metro silver Nol card so you can get around the city easily, and an Etisalat SIM card (I don't know if a residence visa is required for the SIM card though). The Ibn Batuta Mall, The Mercato Mall, and the Deira City Center are places you probably want to hang out at.... apart from that, check out the Burj Khalida (tallest building), Burj Al Arab (7-star hotel), Al Ain zoo, and the beaches.

Hey Zeemee, good to see you here. I am a bit low nowadays with regards to desert drives. But defenitely will be joining AOA for any weekend drives.

Hey Noble, i wont be in for the Friday Drive, but will defenitely try to make it for the GN Funnier Drive as this time its in Dubai and am sure it will be fun to see the amateurs struggling in sand

Watched the Musical Fountain Show at Dubai Mall yesterday evening. The fountains swaying to the Arabian beat was mind blowing stuff. The malls, though excellent places to hang out, lost the novelty factor once I was through with two of them.
