Sania vs Serena - a match you can't miss!!

India's Sania Mirza stormed into the 3rd round of the Australian Open making her the first Indian Women to do so.

Now, she will have to face Serena Williams currently ranked 7th in the world. Sania on the other hand hasn't even made the top 130 or so.

I'm not into Tennis, but i'll tell you, this is one match i ain't gonna miss, what ever the outcome.

But you gotta agree to one thing, Sania has a better chance against Serena, than Narain would have against Schumacher or Button or Kimi or............LOL.

Match is scheduled to start at 11 am Friday (Australian Time). Wonder what time that would be in India.

Yeah man its about time an indian made inroads into the women's tennis now.
Melbourne is 4.5 hrs ahead of india... so 11 AM there means 6:30 AM here... wot channel will it be on?

9 AM is the start of broadcast of the entire tournament. 11 AM Melbourne time is the start of play at the vodafone arena. Right now, a men's singles match is going on and boy look at the first three sets...6-7, 7-6, 7-6! Only after this match gets over, will the women's singles matches be playes...

Oh man what a match. And what a fight back from Sania in the 2nd set.

Though she went down 6-1, 6-4. This match turned out better than expected.

While Serena relied on her powerful serves, Sania was the nimbler off the 2 making Serena run out of breath on many ocassions.

If Sania were to get past Serena's first serves, she would have been there. Should have seen the roar from the crowd every time Sania won a point/game, coz they all know, playing against Serena is no walk in the park.

This match reminds me of Sylvester Stallone's "Rocky 1", where he plays a wild card "Boxer" given a opportunity, to fight against "Apollo Creed" the champion of champions.

Though Rocky loses that match, he walks away a winner, in the eyes of the world. This is exactly what happened today.

Im sure Serena would have prefered a much easier win. But, don't worry, she'll want more from Sania and when that happens, Sania's gonna be prepared.

This is the first tennis match i've watched in, i dunno how many years. But it was worth it, every sec of it, at that.

sania sure got serena flustered in the 2nd set - maaan some of the forehands she let go were SIZZLING ....serena was shocked too !!

sania sure has the talent and as vijay amritraj said if only sania's serve was a bit better...

anyways great show by sania - hip hip hurray !!

and boy is she a hot and sizzling looker !!
