Budget 2008

IMHO this years budget is probably the best we have had in the last decade or so.So it does need special mention and credit should be given to politicians where it is due.

This not not typical "appease all" budget but very forward looking one.
On one side FM has decreased much required Income tax burden on middle\salaried class,he has also waived loan for smaller farmers, spent more for baisc things like health & education, defense and also reduced various duties on manufactured items giving boost to industry though industrialists would have wanted corporate tax to be reduced.

See guys my point is for an entrepreuner, who runs a company, the taxes he pays up is almost 50%.

Imagine i pay 35% of taxes for the company to govt.
and pay 6% fee to the CA
additional 2% service Tax
Additional 5% Individual Tax
And bribe 2% for the agent to get my TDS returns.

What am i left with after all this ,

Doesnt make sense.

We actually need to have a broader look towards small time Business people.

It cannot get centric but yes find about different sections of employment all over.

Well i for one am happy the way the FM has done for the first time. taxes for me has been reduced but i dont understand why does he not specify the loan cuts for farmers properly. The previous time loans waiver happened for people who defaulted on their loans but those who made sure that they paid the interest in time and never defaulted didnt recieve any waivers. One more thing is still emphasis is not given onto developing tier 2 cities as it should thus preventing migration of youth and oppourtunity in places. Decent budget but it has some drawbacks. Its like a pro election budget. Elections coming up in north east, rajastan and alot of other states

I am NOT happy with the way things are being planned in this budget. What he is effectively saying is that "Boss, India is also in Downtrend (aka recession), help me to make it grow. You can grow it " . How, spend more on anything you buy, I am giving you money in your hands. Thats wat I want you to do.

Did anyone get this message ? I for one is going to sit on cash for the next few years until we are out of downtrend
