Yes, this was written by a dutch guy, if i remember correctly, he was a Baan employee (an erstwhile erp gaint) and he wrote this out of his experiance in Hyd. Nice article to read thru again.
Absolutely, this came as a forwarded mail few years back. But this is evergreen stuff!!

I think this vivid account can be true in every city and town of India ....
We Indians lack civic and traffic sense and we care for ourselves only and care two hoots for other citizens whether on streets or in wheels ....
I think our government and authority is at fault as we have not implemnted proper guidelines and penalties to deter people and make them follow rules ....

Many times i'v seen small elephants waiting at the signal for it to turn green.... All these on the main roads.. even highways.... These things really put a smile on u'r face..

So you are from Kerala? Where are you from exactly? I noticed the elephant. I also noticed the roadside bar.

I'm(my parents native) from Kottayam, settled down in Palghat and working here at Cochin..

About the roadside bar, its just a small board(to attract people) of the hotel which is to the right.. We have lots of them all over the place.. Kerala is the state comsuming the maximum alcohol among all states in India.. Quite an achievement..LOL

_Kerala: God's own country.. It surely is....._
