FE then and FE now

guys ,
whats the differnce in the FE;s of your vehicles when you bought them and what is it now.
maybe we could get a proper picture of some of the worst and best FE cars.

also plzz mention the kms done till date.

my mpfi 2001 zenhas done 27000kms till date.
the best Fe that i had got then in 2001 was about 19kpl with and without AC on a mumbai-shirdi drive.
then the best was after u fitted the free flowwhen i got abt 24kpl overall on a mumbai mangalore drive .most of it was without AC .

in city the best i have got is 15-16kpl and that is now after i filled 98 octane.fuel
and the latest best figure on highway was 18kpl ,but thatwas at max speeds and 14.5 hrs for mumbai mangalore.

the worst i have got in city is 8kpl with AC and 13kpl on the mumbai pune expressway with AC

mine is a m800 nov 98 model. done 85000 + kms

initially used to get 14 to 15 km with AC for 1st three years. has been highway driving always. now for last three years getting a constant of 12.5/13 kmpl on highway with AC.

The worst was when i had problem with my AC and the FE dropped down to 8 kmpl. changed the AC but new one had heavy compressor so less FE.

cooling is too good so the compromise is ok.

Maruti 800 ('84) after doing the engine done 2500km: 12km in city. No A/C.

Amby after porting and exhaust job (18500km): 9.5km in city. 14km on highway with A/C.

Opra 1.8 (5300km): 8km in city. 12 km on highway. The figures are with A/C on.
