RAINING word is an understatement

It was pouring Cats and Dogs today evening. Almost 0% visibility

My car was literally swimming today. I was lucky enough to get back home soon without encountering any traffic jams. Phew.............

Re: It's raining in Bangalore!!

For many years till now, when ever it rained in bangalore, i used to park my bike on the road and seek refuge in some nearby shelter, soon the shelter would be overcrowded and one would be wet all over anyway.

Today, when i was coming back from office, it rained and wow, what a feeling it was, switched on the wipers with a flick of a finger and nicely drove through. The bike guys however were running for a cover, leaving the roads wide open. Driving in rain sure seems very attractive.

Oh yeah, it is. I typically take my car to office only during rainy season. So when I take my car to office, I keep looking outside for rain. As soon as it starts raining, I pack up and leave just to drive in the rain .

Re: It's raining in Bangalore!!

I left office and in Huskur gate signal, it took 30 minutes to pass 500m.
Reason: BMTC buses and the taxis blocking both the lanes of the service road and then at a junction, everybody standing in all sorts of directions causing a gridlock.
I don't understand why the driving behaviour should change if it rains.
As Vidyasagar told the two wheelers will be less when its raining, but yet such a problem.
I just closed my windows and started to enjoy the good music on the radio.

Re: It's raining in Bangalore!!

Just after the command hospital on the way towards Lifestyle, there was a huge water logging. So huge that there were waves in it. Like the dying waves on the sea shore.

Next time I will carry surf board.

Very true. I had got my car from the service the same day. It was all dirty in 30 mins. :( When i was driving through, for a second I thought the car might stall. I can imagine monsoons this time around. Looking at the heat, seems like it would be heavy rains.

Only a bit of drizzle here in Vidyaranyapura. But the smell of wet mud, man... makes me want to fall in love

Re: It's raining in Bangalore!!

Oh man, even to know there is rain around me, I need to check this forum. But judging from outside view, it was just a drizzle to settle the dust around (reporting from hebbal - BEL circle ).
