Raining rather heavy at Banawadi area, Bangalore now. Watch out for traffic (jam)!

Update: Now settled to a slow/drizzle! Hardly 15 mins of good rain! :(

CHENNAI - raining cats and dogs right now.......lower visibility as well ...local phenomenon, I think , since the wind direction is not normal. It is almost dark outside as I type this....wwooooowww!!!!

UPDATE : continuous heavy downpour with strong winds/lightning/thunder for about 20 mins now !

UPDATE : heavy rain continues...water stagnation has started in the empty plots in SIPCOT Siruseri.

Just a teaser of drizzle in Bagaluru, a suburb of Bengaluru. Agriculture/horticulture gone to dogs. No planting in the few lands already plowed. More bars draining the poor and labour.
Pity!

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

It was heavy rain yesterday at Bangalore. Many low laying areas were under water. While coming from my office yesterday, I narrowly escaped from getting stuck in water at Silkboard when taking the turn off toward Hosur Road from Ring road. But ran out of luck at Begur while taking through the Classic Layout towards my home at Akshayanagar. My cab (Indica) got stuck in the water and water completely went in side the cab socking all the interior. I had to come out in the above knee deep water and push the cab to reverse and came through a different route. The driver's pedals were completely under water and it was not going out of the cab..!!!!To my luck, the cab was still running..! It took me 2hrs30min to reach home from Marathahalli...!!!!
