Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Yesterday at the MGE (Sakleshpur), everybody was wishing for rain. The wish came true at 9PM on our way back, too late for the event. However, it hasn't stopped raining since. It rained hard whole night and it is raining even now.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Here in Hyderabad, we have been getting warm sunshine right after the rain - today is the second day in a row that it's happened (or perhaps 3rd, I was in my window-less office so may have missed a day).

Fortunately, the roads are being well-maintained so things are still looking good.

Very heavy torrential downpours accompanied by mild lightning and thunder in south Bangalore. Since the rains approached from the North, i guess it is uniform throughout the city.

Worried about a power trip now.

You should have bunked office to enjoy the rains from home :-)

Here in Chennai, it is hot, I think we have seen the last of the SW monsoon (and related ) rains...waiting for the onset of the NE monsoon in Chennai...till then it is going to be hot.

That is very unfair now, while I try and cope with the heat from the sun, over here in Chennai, a place that is 300 kms from here is rainy and cold! Is it still raining over there?

Edit: Just read the post above, makes me feel a wee bit better now !

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Rain Gods were more than happy to open up the heavens all of last week here in Pune. Early last week, got drenched on my way back from office at late night that left me with a severe chill. Lesson learnt and now am always out with a rain-coat.

Don't get me wrong. I love the rains! Love it whole heartedly, just that one has to be geared up to face rough weather.

Got another chance to enjoy the rains on Saturday night while on my way back from a friend's place at around 1030 the heavens opened up to one of the heaviest downpours of this season. It felt awesome riding my Avvy through this heavy rain for about 25 odd KMs. Feel Like God, indeed...
