Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

It is going to be close to 24 hours of non stop rain in Bangalore. Though I love rains, I hate what it does to my car. The roads in Bangalore are in such a sorry state that the car becomes a complete mess by the time you reach home. Just spent an hour washing the car with Formula one carnauba wash and wax. What a relief. Could not imagine the apartment guard grinding all the stuck up mud when he washes the car in the morning so I decided to do it myself.

The weather is beautiful in Banaglore. I think we are somewhere in the region of twenty degrees and it is lovely. Just don't take your ride out.

Yeah this is absolutely mental rain. Non stop for quite a while now. I wonder how much longer the city would hold up before the inevitable happens. *nods head in disbelief*

I knew that lots of Bangaloreans would be here. It's been raining here right from sunrise to now and looks like it'll continue to be this way for a while now. I'm loving the weather alright!

Thank God tomorrow is a holiday! Or it would be havoc on Blore roads.

As luck would always have it when I two wheel, I thought rains would start only by afternoon/evening.
Was drenched early morning today on my way back from work when the first cyclonic showers began . Sharp @ 4am that too.

With Sandy and Nilam playing havoc, this reminded me of the scene out of the movie 2012 in which they were multiple cyclones/hurricanes happening all over the world at the same time.

I got a message on Whatsapp which said that in the movie 2012, New York was the first city to get flooded and now with Sandy, New York is completely flooded! A sign of things to come?

It did not rain like this in the even in the monsoon. Apparently, this will continue till Friday according to news reports. I hope it rains well enough to recharge borewells and lakes around the countryside.

Actually New York (or Los Angeles) is the first to take a hit in most Hollywood disaster movies. Examples: 2012 , The Day after tomorrow, Godzilla and the like

Exactly 24hrs since the rains started and poor quality of Blore roads show.
New potholes, old ones have become thrice their original size and patch work tar all washed off.

I wonder how apocalypse and aliens both decide to visit the States first.

So, the 'inevitable' happens! The glaring potholes, I mean plotholes are now there for everybody to see. I wonder when the authorities are going to wake up and take notice of the roads outside of their bullet proof police escorted cars.

It's raining. Not heavy but big drops though - Cunningham road. It'd better not rain over the weekend. I have plans.

Edit: Scratch that. Heavy rain with lots of wind.

Light rains in Bangalore from yesterday. Light as of now, not to disrupt traffic. Hope it stays so the whole day!

Cheers!
