Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Finally!!! some welcome showers, its been threatening all week and finally the rains poured. Albeit for very short burst, but that's a start.
@Alter_Ego, that is the definitive pic for Bombay in the rains. Superb.

After not so cool winters & boiling hot summers this is the kinda rain we expect from the 1st set of showers to cool off the city.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Thane Ghodbunder Road to Nariman Point - 4 hrs with a drowning scare at Parel between two flyovers. The designers should have kept the road elevated at hindmata on the Flyovers chain. No point hopping between flyovers if one is gong to sink when one comes down - quite like a child resisting going further but each vehicle being forced to get dunk in 1-2 feet deep water and many getting stranded by the side. I had a narrow escape having to opt to go into even deeper waters rather than wait behind a stranded vehicle in moderately deep water least my Laura AT stalled.

Wanted to relive the fluids urgently towards the end of the trip.

Top Tip make a visit to the wash room before starting off on a long journey within Bombay in the Rains. (That is besides keeping the fuel topped up and carrying a hammer or something equivalent in the vehicle.)

Chennai:

Much to the relief from scorching heat in the afternoon, the weather has turned pleasant and the heavens are about to open up.
Surely does not feel like it's 5:30pm

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

The intensity of the monsoon cloud coverage is less, so it is the usual in the Western coast and rain gets reduced as we get into the interiors.

The result: Climate is awesome in Coimbatore, but no rain.

Raining heavily in Jaipur. Drenched!

Loving it! Much needed showers after the unforgiving summers!

Pouring in SIPCOT IT park Siruseri, CHENNAI for ~ 15 mins now....guess it has been raining in the Vandalur area for more (could see the discharging rain-clouds from our office) . Strong winds as well.
