Wall rebuild is going to take time. It was a retaining wall that collapsed. The association is in process of engaging vendors for design and rebuild.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Whats with the night rains everyday in Bangalore??
It has been raining since last week every night without fail from around 8p to 5am! And it is contineous rain and is forecasted to be the same for few more days!
Monsoon rains lashed most of KA except Bangalore and now it looks like the balance is being paid.
Wall collapse incidents almost everyday. The last time Bangalore got over the normal rainfall was in 2009 and 1986.

Less spoken about road conditions, the better.

Regards

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Almost every time it rains(which is happening every day now), the power supply to our locality is shut down. Yesterday, though it wasn't raining heavily, we had no power from about 10:00 pm till 7:30 am in the morning. Saving grace was it wasn't too hot to sleep. I wonder why this power cuts happen every time that it drizzles.

It's raining like it's never gonna rain again, since 8:30pm, here in Bengaluru!!

Many roads flooded, cantonment under bridge is almost submerged in water.

Its been raining for the past 5 hours now. And it is still pouring down. Thank God this is a Saturday, I can imagine the chaos on the road if this was a working day. Have stayed indoors and enjoyed it with multiple cups of hot tea !

Hope people out on the roads are safe.

I had to take kid to pediatrician in R.T.Nagar. Visibility was near zero despite wipers going full speed. Stretches of roads in R.T.Nagar and Kavalabyrasandra flooded. Started raining quite heavily again after 10:30 pm.

That was no normal rain in Bangalore last evening - it was the highest rain recorded in a day in the last 20 years 106.2 mm in about 3 hours
Some of our roads resembled a trough full of water and I had to wade the car slowly from Ulsoor to Indiranagar

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

The weird part of last nights super heavy rain was I was in whitefield and it didnt rain one drop there and I had no idea it had poured so heavy until I read the papers.
On the way home post midnight to cooke town, all I noticed were a line of cars moving in the opposite direction like there was a big hold up somewhere, which was cleared.
I even thought a guy was drunk since he was coming in the opposite way down Wheelers road flyover.
