It was raining near ITPL in Bangalore. It was only for a short while. Hope that it rains heavily in the coming days.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

North India is facing dust storms and thunderstorms, while South India is facing unprecedented heat wave.

Farmers who are used to predicting the rains by watching the sky are bewildered by the fact that unprecedented heat and humid levels are not causing any rains.

Whats going on in Bangalore actually.

I arrived here last year around March end, and the weather was warm till end of April.

Do you think its forming the same pattern? I guess temperatures should drop to sub-30 degree level from around April end.

It doesn't. It usually remains in the mid 30s through May with a few days of even higher temperatures (below 37 though). When monsoon clouds start moving over the City, the temperature drops but still in lower 30s. Temperatures do drop to pleasant levels when its rains for a day or two.

Whats unusual is that its still dry and no humidity in the air. Its raining everywhere and not here yet. Its sad that 53 people have lost their lives in North Karnataka due to lightning.

Overcast sky in Bangalore right from the afternoon, yet only a light drizzle. Where is it raining then?

February, March and April is supposed to be the summer season in Bangalore. It's pretty hot during these months every year.

Looks like it has been pouring heavily all over Kerala for the last 2 days. Property damage, 2 persons killed, power supply disrupted, crop damage, trains delayed and cancelled. This isn't looking good. :(

For those who have planned to travel towards Kerala, it might be a good idea to postpone the plans until the forecast is clear. Please be extra careful while driving.

Rained in central Hyderabad quite heavily this evening, and now the weather is damn humid.

A welcome relief indeed!
