Major waterlogging on the down ramp of the Intel flyover - marathahalli to silkboard side. Also whole area in front of ecospace and service road towards belandur looks like a river. This is at 5pm. Never seen it so bad. Expect delays.

Finally! Much needed rain in Chennai!! After a week of hide and seek, the weather became pleasant and cloudy & it started raining. Such a relief

Here in NCR, the weather turned dramatically since afternoon. It started with dust storm followed by black clouds and thunderstorms finally culminating into light showers.

And finally it has brought down the temperature to 32-33 deg C (a drop of more than 10 deg C).

Enjoying light breeze with popcorn and coffee at home 😊.

I'm afraid it's nothing related the monsoons. The typical monsoon winds/clouds are yet to touch our landmass.

It gets sultry with all the oppressive heat and the weak monsoon winds trying to calm it.

Sure there is an anomaly in our weather these days.

In news (tv) as well as in newspapers, it was all over that rains have arrived in Kerala.

It has become very frustrating to move anywhere in this heat & humidity.

Thousands of miles away from Dilli and the Sun shines bright and bakes us all in its full glory.
No overflowing drains, no water logged roads, no traffic on the roads due to the heat.

Yay! I love Summers

LOL!

Spoke too soon. It rained well on 8th and its been totally dry since then. Looks like we will have a very weak monsoon.

The cyclone "ashobaa" is pulling the wind away from the west coast of india. Once it dissipates, the monsoon will resume hopefully.

Look here for a visual representation
Global Map of Wind

The jet stream turning at the somalia coast does look strong. So there is still hope.

Mad rains + heavy winds here in Surat. Uprooted several trees and the aluminium roofs on the building terraces have come off. On the way to work, I had to get off the car and move a heavy branch with the help of a few commuters to make way through a slushy road side. One Innova has climbed up a divider some 2-3 foot above the ground. Looks like he lost control and climbed over it.

Looks like trouble in Delhi today. Its looking as dark as in winters, and little bit of a drizzle too.
Hopefully, something by the end of the day.

Its raining quite well in Vadodara.
I enjoyed it well, but people have to understand driving sense in India. Water accumulation on side of roads where people wont go, if you go, then water splashes on them, again not done.
