Before we ask for the Power we should also ask how is the Water Condition, obviously not rain water. As we all waste the rain water. It goes to drain.
GMPalya/Kaggadaspura/Pai Layout and surrounding has huge water problem. Even people are taking bath once in 2 days...

Same here in Bangalore South, atleast in our apartment complex there is no water supply for last 3 days. Not a single drop is available and the taps are running dry. It's disgusting to say the least. There seems to be some breach in one of syphons and due to that no water supply for many parts of Bangalore. I really want my tax money back from the government if this is the condition we have to bear.

Power issue, water issue, infrastructure related issue... well all these is the proof to a very bad planning which has gone on building this city! all the lakes need to be bought back to life and rain water harvesting needs to be made compulsory! and alsong with all make use of solar energy..

the present trend shows that we are heading to the dark age!

+1 to that. We have Tata BP Solar company right here in BLR and there are many in and around Electronic city making full use of it. Since I stay in an apartment it is difficult to convince the owners here. Sigh!

In BBMP jurisdiction, the following have already been made mandatory:

i] Rain-water harvesting for all new buildings and the existing one on site dimension of 40'x60' and more [27 May 2010 is the last date for completion].

ii] Solar water heater for all new buildings.

These arrangements are to be shown in the plan submitted for sanctioning by BBMP.

Water beading is good for me too, but its the slickness of the surface that i want intact, which cannot happen once water runs over a couple of times.
To be honest, i really do not know the difference between water beading good or medium as never had waxed my car till this rains
BTW- Rained like cats and dogs today, and still going strong with heavy winds. People who are expecting to leave today, be careful of Inner Ring Road, its going to be a swimming pool for sure(and some other low lying areas with bad drains)
