Re: It's raining in Bangalore!!

Morning, the climate was sunny and I asked the painter to go ahead with the exterior painting of my house in RRNagar. Need to go and see how bad the new paint has been washed.

It rained heavily in RR Nagar (I presume you are saying Rajarajeshwarinagar as RR Nagar). So, I guess your house would have got a pretty good wash.

I just came home completely drenched. To add to my misery, the NICE road underbridge near Shakti Hill Resort was completely flooded and I had to take a long detour via Channasandra

Re: It's raining in Bangalore!!

One good thing is that we did not feel the summer this time around, but flooding can be bad for commuters particularly the bikers who get soaked and drenched and sometimes fall sick. The rain in these parts near BEL circle has been very scanty only the wind velocity has been quite high bring in chill atmosphere

addyhemmige, Yes. I stay in Rajarajeshwarinagar too. As expected, the paint has mostly been washed away on whatever portions done. Luckily, the painters had spent most of the mornings washing the house and started painting only by noon time. So the damage is down to a minimum.

I never knew the underbridge below NICE road near Shakthi hill resort is prone to flooding. I use that route quite regularly as well. But for regular office I take the route around the global college. So i was not affected.

It's Raining here in Delhi/NCR!

So it rained heavily today early morning in Delhi/NCR region. Strong winds were blowing in the region nearly at 5 AM and then some heavy rainfall. I guess these are the early pre monsoon showers. I am waiting for the monsoon to set in completely so that we can get some relief from this heat.

I saw many cars stranded on the roads today most probably due to the rains. It’s time we should tune up our rides as well.

The weather was very pleasant in the morning. I took few pictures of the overcast weather.

I invite all Delhi/NCR/Haryana Team-bhpians to please share pictures of this beautiful weather here in this thread.

Kindly bear with me for the poor quality snaps as they were taken from my mobile.

Nice pics!

You were in my neighbourhood! Do you live here or visit often?

I was out driving at 7-8 in the morning, the breeze was wonderful. I did end up with a very mucked up car at the end of it, but wasn't something a quick wash couldn't correct.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

It’s raining in Delhi and nearby areas for past six hours continuously. Monsoons are finally knocking the door of the city. Thank god it is Sunday otherwise there must be traffic jams across the city.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

I got stuck in the rain at 2.30 am on 16th August in the Mysore Road near Rajarajeshwari Nagar. The water was more than 3 feet at some places making a huge traffic jam in the middle of the night.

Also the continuous rain since last evening has been very irritating.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

We are Coimbatore got good Showers in the night, and its drizzling out now. The climate is superb. Those who are planning to go to Ooty, expect heavy rain fall there, with possible traffic jams etc.
