Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

It's been raining in Kanyakumari district for more than two weeks. After a slight break for two days, it started to rain again, thanks to the low pressure area in the comorin area. It's always a pleasure to drive the car in the rain.

It's November: is it going to start raining in Chennai?

Well, it did, a couple of days ago, putting on a wonderful show for one night, making us think, Yeah! NE Monsoon! ! Then it stopped.

Rains!! Accompanied with heavy thunderstorms and lightning. Temperature in the afternoon was around 31-32 degrees here in Ranchi, but this thunderstorm and showers should bring it down.

It's been raining incessantly since evening here in Electronic city Bengaluru. I think the humidity will drive me nuts during the night.

Rains on 17th May in Banglore, it means on 6th to 7th June we can welcome rains in AMCHI Mumbai.
Now the worst part is waiting for our lazy, careless owners who's car wipers, screen washers, are not working.
Lazy, careless, because for the entire year they don't use the wipers, screen washers and these both gets jammed up.

Due to Lock down the garages, auto electricians are closed, either gone to their gaon, scared of the cops who aimlessly come over to get the workshops closed even though govt gave permissions for them to open on specific days.
This year rains, first shower will not be as exciting as it used to be,, all thanks to the LOCKDOWN.

That would be the people who are trying to see the road through a layer of grime, I guess! .

I don't understand people not using screen wash/wipe. So simple to keep the glass clear and, yes, making sure that the wipers are going to work when they are really needed. Even here in bone-dry Chennai a storm can surprise us.

Mate, these are pre-monsoon showers. We start getting them from end March onwards. Atleast once a week in late April and May. Thats the AC switch that comes on here to keep cool

I think monsoon will be a week late. In Mumbai its expected on 11 June.

Its raining heavily in chandigarh. Apart from 4-5 days of 40+ temperature, the weather here has been pleasant this year as compared to last year.

Crazy high temperatures here in Hyderabad since a week or so. Fortunately from 1pm today, it started raining till about 5pm.

Weather is really pleasant. Hope it stays this way for a few more days.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

What's happening in Hyderabad? Papers report that yesterday saw one of the heaviest rainfalls in a long long time. A close friend's apartment in Pragathinagar (Moosapet Road) has lost its compound wall and the water is up till the first floor; less said about the basement the better! The building has been without power from last night.
