I guess they didnt hear the call in all the excitement ... else they shud have sacrificed that one run in order for Nayar to stay on strike -- see what pressure can do .

Todays match goes to show that T20 team can't be judged on paper strength ... On paper Mumbai Indians didn't stand a chance -- I mean they only have 3 batsmen in their line up but inspite of that they almost chased down what was a HUGE score .

Lets hope all the coming matches are all this close ---

Terrific match. Mumbai Indians had more spirit than the superkings. They really should have won. Bhajji was amazing with his 6s. In the end, Dhoni's good luck charm joginder won it for him.

There were 2 sets of dancers for this match, one in blue cheering for mumbai & one in red cheering for chennai, is this how it was in earlier matches too ?
sadly no imports this time.

Yes, there are two sets of cheer leaders in every match. No imports for Mumbai and Chennai. Guess they have their hands full with the money spent on the players

Great match yesterday. Nayar must be kicking himself for taking that single off a no-ball. Fantastic contest and the Mumbai Indians gave them a run for their money. When Chennai scored 208, I thought at best Mumbai will score a 150 odd and match would get over. I was almost right until Bhajji and Nayar decided to take the match right down to the wire! Edge of the seat stuff. I think the best match of the tournament so far.

Either if they had heard the call or not heard the call, that single proved to be tactical mistake, that cost Mumbai the match . What required was boundaries. Can Nehra hold the bat properly, let alone hit runs

Finally, the moral brigade is in action. They liken the cheerleaders to bar dancers .

IPL cheerleaders like bar dancers: BJP leader.

Mr. Shotgun also has a few things to say in the article.

I am afraid that cricket, which has been shortened from five days to one day and now to the T 20 format, might be reduced to 'Toss-Toss' in which the winner will be decided through toss,
he he he toss-toss ? TT ?

.. Didn't I post something to this effect yesterday ?? I was wondering as to why they hadn't woken up so far .. These *** whacks who we nominate to represent us continue to run their own ideologies and instead of taking the country forward are hell bent on taking it backwards ??

Shatrughan Sinha from Bollywood - Sunil Gavaskar from Cricket seem to have the same traits in order to gain attention !!! And saying something that only makes sense to them is their way of grabbing attention

No offence guys, but i felt harbhajan's captaincy was BAD!

He showed some real courage with the mumbai, and i really wished mumbai had won in the end. However, the way harbhajan utilised his bowlers was not at all good. He himself, being the most experienced bowler in the side bowled only two overs (which were pretty good actually), and then was choosing between the younger kids who were being treated rather roughly by the super kings.

I feel harbhajan should have completed his overs. That could have made a difference of a 10- odd runs, which might have made a difference in the end.

Abhishek nair (Was that his name?) was the star of the day for me.

and how great will it be if that game consists of poking them with the stumps 20 times for every instance of corruption.

Each team plays 14 matches. And there are 2 semi-finals and a final. So there are total 59 matches. The question is, can IPL sustain interest for these many matches?
