Re: The IPL Thread - Season V discussions from pg 150

I have a very good feeling that RCB will finally lift the cup this season. They have always had good players, but never got the combination right. CSK will not do very well this season, the wheel HAS to turn.

RCB better win this season. Some much needed cash for KF to restart the operations.

On a serious note i think MI, KKR and RCB would be the top contenders as per me.

Guess that's why the airline's staff have been asked to stay at home(to cheer for RCB).

RCB has been saddled with the "chokers" title, so they gotta win the title to get rid of that

IPL 5: Everything about Pune Warriors

I searched for any threads around Pune Warriors but could not find any, so thought of starting a thread to discuss everything related to Pune Warriors in this season of IPL.

Since the Pune campaign is about to start, I thought of booking tickets for Mumbai Indians match on 3rd May, but alas! The bookmyshow site does not allow me to select any tickets except the Rs. 9000 and Rs. 15000 categories. Does that mean all other tickets are sold out?
I then tried for the 11 th May match against RCB. Now it allows to select the various options but when entered the number of tickets it fails to Proceed, anyone else has experienced this?

It's kind of not so good experience to start with and I guess even this year I will have to watch IPL at home only. Let me know if there are other ways to book tickets.

What about the chances of Pune Warriors this season?
Honestly, I do not have any big expectations but expect they will pull out a couple of good victories owing to individual brilliance. What can you expect when you have an unbalanced side with a captain almost in his 40s and out of international scene since long?

Any other TBHPians have got tickets to any Pune Warriors match? What are your plans? The stadium looks good from outside (I passed along the express way on the day of its inauguration) but looks like parking will be a pain point as usual!!

Re: The IPL Thread - Season V discussions from pg 150

How many saw the match yesterday ?

Apart from Franklin, who is no good with the bat / ball, and eats up a foreign player slot, MI looks solid.

^^ I did. Some excellent bowling and fielding from MI, I think they'll do well this season.

Re: The IPL Thread - Season V discussions from pg 150

The curator needs to needs to get his head examined, he's forgotten its T20. The 1st game is like an advertisment for the rest of the tournament. He goes ahead and prepares the greenest wicket ever to be made in India! No one's asking for a 200 wicket, atleast ensure its a 160 wicket.

Would have been a great test wicket though.

Go MI!

Franklin has held on to the place because of his performance in the Champions League for MI. He played a major contribution in MI reaching the finals or was it to win the finals.

Re: The IPL Thread - Season V discussions from pg 150

Good wakeup call for MI yesterday. Good that it is a long series and one loss at the start does not make much of a difference and they have time to cover up on the loss. I hope over dependance on Sachin is not the cause of this loss.

Re: The IPL Thread - Season V discussions from pg 150

2-3 days action of the IPL has thrown up no surprises -

1) Irfan Pathan is as useless as ever.
2) Sehwag hasn't learnt a thing from the last 8 defeats. He is a pathetic captain.
3) Ajinkya Rahane looks much better than Rohit Sharma (Rohit acts like a cry baby)
4) Bhajji is still hyping himself up
5) Ashwin has gone from bad to worse.
6) Sachin still cannot play left arm bowlers
