| ![]() The likes of Shivam Dubey & Vijay Shankar are batsman who bowl a bit. Them being categorized as all-rounders is doing them more harm than good. Their military medium pace isn't going to trouble anyone. Hardik could easily touch speeds of 140km/hr comparatively. |

| ![]() Having seen quite a few matches this season, I have observed that K.L.Rahul is not having an impressive strike rate for an opener. In last match, Gayle was actually putting in lot of efforts, but K.L.Rahul got 46 runs from 41 deliveries. Looks like he is interested in either saving his wicket or piling up runs. This isnt the first time that this season that his strike rate is low. This way, I doubt if the team can actually pull on beyond play-off at the most. On another note, CSK seems to be getting on track, but its too late for them now. Ravindra Jadeja has impressed a lot but I still feel they are missing Suresh Raina. M.S.Dhoni, in an unpleasant surprise, looks completely out of form this season. Doubt if he will play in 2021. Kohli too looks out of form, especially given that he is one of the best batsman in the world and definitely a lot more was expected from him and the team he is leading. | ![]() He's actually in 2 minds, whether to go out all guns blazing or make sure he bats for as long as possible! And that is affecting his strike rate. He kind of goes into his shell for a bit & shuts off the big shots. Earlier Kings XI were top heavy as Maxwell wasn't contributing much lower down. Now they have good top 4- KL,Mayank,Gayle,Pooran. |

| ![]() What horrible shot selection by the 3 senior players in DC team today vs RCB in such a critical match. It just makes me feel that most of these players are overrated with very little real skill. With hardly needing a run a ball, both Shikar Dhawan and Rahane played absolutely needless and horrible shots and gave their wicket away. Same for Shreyas Iyer. Such shot selection in the given match situation makes me wonder if it is all pre-decided on the basis of the betting market. |

| ![]() What a performance by MI. Totally deserve the win. And dare I say, this team is better than the Indian T20I team. |

But Mumbai Indians deserved to win this title, they have a very, very powerful squad. Rarely they had such top order collapse in power play. Rohit Sharma proved his mettle once again. Having three power hitters in the form of Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya (he had a nice season) and Pollard strengthens the team what others could just dream of. Somehow, the earlier charm of aggressively scoring runs is missing this season, and slow down in middle overs is boring. Used to watch IPL for bit hits but they seem to be missing now. | |

| ![]() MI was a class apart from other teams throughout the season. They have kept the same core through the seasons and most importantly they have developed players who can represent India at the national level. They have already given us Bumrah and Hardik. SKY and Ishan should also make their debut soon. Being a DC supporter, I was relatively happy with the progress they made from the last season. They just need to deliver a little more consistently, especially the Indian batsmen. |

| ![]() Mostly on expected lines except the following that surprised me: - RCB releasing Morris - DC releasing Carey - KKR releasing Banton - Punjab releasing Mujeeb - RR releasing Akash Singh, but retaining Unadkat. Some of the releases could be due to conflicting schedules. I am sure the franchises were told probable dates for the 21 season, even though it is not made public. I expect Shakib to be among the biggest buys this auction. Last edited by Eddy : 20th January 2021 at 23:43. |

| ![]() Surprised to see RCB release Morris. I’m guessing this is more from a player availability standpoint than any other factor. |

| ![]() I'm surprised by: -RCB releasing Morris, Umesh (he's first choice India bowler) -DC releasing Carey, Jason Roy (WC'19 team)? -KXI releasing Maxwell (he's had a phenomenal T20 vInd), Neesham? -RR releasing Smith (why?) Any ideas folks who are well versed with PL strategies? |
