You are right! Everything started TURNing from that point onwards

Doesn't matter, the team and the fans will still keep chanting ESCN every year - "Ee Sala Cup Namdhe" (the cup is ours this time) Never lose hope they say!

Really disappointed with Punjab Kings performance till now. Looks like that huge sum which they used to buy those 2 Australian fast bowlers is going to be wasted. Replace 1 of them with Chris Jordan and they must bring in number 1 T20 Batsman David Malian in place of Pooran.

Most teams have great batting. Its the bowling which might be the problem with teams like Punjab. Hyderabad has good bowling but their batsmen look tired already

Just curious, in IPL what is the winning percentage of the team which wins the toss? In other words, how much does the toss matter?

In venues like Mumbai, where dew plays a major role, the toss plays a huge role. Last year, when the IPL was held in UAE, Sharjah had a huge toss bias because of the dew factor.

After a blistering start, Mumbai is struggling now at 120/6, hope they get 150+

Thanks! I got that. But I was looking for more data/stats. Is there anywhere this data available easily, rather than going thru each match data?

It is a good point and the statistics should give us a good picture.

https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/i...e-toss-1236885

Seems like the toss did not bring fortune at least in 2020.

Even though Dhoni's stay at the crease was a brief one this evening, his approach was refreshing to watch!

Fasten your seatbelts, DreRus is motoring along!

re: The IPL Thread (Fantasy game league details on pg 238)

I have said it before, I am saying it again. Especially in limited overs cricket, why are good bowling performances generally ignored and average batting performances awarded instead!?

Yesterday, in PBKS versus SRH match, it was primarily due to the stellar bowling performance from the SRH bowlers, PBKS ended up scoring just 120 runs. The stand out performers were Bhuvi(3-0-16-1) and Khaleel Ahmed(4-021-3). SRH cruised to a facile 9 wickets victory with Bairstow scoring 63 at a gentle strike rate of 112.5. And guess what Bairstow was awarded the Man of the Match! I just don't get this logic

re: The IPL Thread (Fantasy game league details on pg 238)

Yesterday's decision of giving Man of the Match to Faf was as absurd as it could be. In a 400+ game, the only bowler to get 4 TOP ORDER wickets for next to nothing was ignored.

Not only are the commentators bad commentators, they are stupid MoM adjudicators as well.

re: The IPL Thread (Fantasy game league details on pg 238)

CSK were clueless while Dre Russ was on fire, but once he was dismissed the match was almost gone and after DK got out it was even more unlikely that KKR would get close to the huge CSK total. At that point, Pat Cummins just blasted Curran's bowling and it was a tremendous effort to watch, unfortunately didn't end with a KKR win.

His intent is certainly there, but he's still rusty since he doesn't play much cricket for the rest of the 10 months!
