Indeed that's what it looks like. They went for Kedar which was a good buy however never played him for the first few games.

MI Vs CSK - wow, what a game today and MI played outstanding cricket to chase down a huge total, it was Pollard all the way, thanks in part to Faf who dropped his catch and it cost CSK the match as well.

To chase big totals and get close is one thing, to stay till the end and finish the job is something else and Pollard did that to perfection today.

Don't forget his 2 overs with 2 wickets where Bhumrah went for 50+ in 4. Faf dropping a catch is like unheard of, but when you bat like Pollard then even the Gods want him to continue. This match is going to be the turn around for MI. Rest all beware, Mumbai have picked themselves and how!

I guess this was imminent. Notwithstanding the legendary knocks he played, Warner was absolutely livid with how he batted last 3 to 4 games where he barely maintained 100 SR , which was quite uncharacteristic and he indirectly dragged down the team with his performance. I suppose he could have pushed this idea and with players like Roy and Holder who could replace him well, he had to take himself out of playing 11 which makes it obvious for Kane to take the reins. Warner must have understood his non-performance has cost too much and.

Nevertheless, Jason Roy would be eager to prove his worth , but if Bhuvi has not yet recovered from the injury, Holder would add much depth to the team since he is a terrific death over bowler.

All this will be put to test against the Mumbai Indians. Last game it was was Pant's sensible batting that made sure MI bowlers do not get over them.

Delhi looks like a formidable team this year. And they do not have their regular captain as well. With Shreyas Iyer in the team, they could have played Nortje and made it more difficult for the opposition. With first half of the tournament almost complete, Delhi is certain to make it to the top 4 unless there is drop of form as a group!

I think they have something called a green channel, in which people can exit and re enter the bubble. That said, with current situation you have to be double sure of anything, it was utter stupidity of KKR that might end the IPL in next few days.

I expect BCCI to make a statement by end of day. Atleast we got 50% tournament. Now have to find more shows and movies to pass time in evening.
