very surprising that one is here to mourn KXI loss and celebrate CSK's win.

Finally Punjab's loss stopped the 5 match winning and could not overtake RR.

OMGawd ! If aye were Gilly aye would bang RP Singh's head against the Chaarminar, he's by far the WORST fielder in cricket. Looks like the Chargers have their work cut out, if gilly or gibbs don't fire, they're in for trouble.

I switched off the TV in disgust.
Strong Punbab XI supporter here.
I was hoping to see Punjab at the top of the rankings....
I hope shane watson makes a roaring comeback along with Yuvraj, and they decimate the competition in next match!

DD looking flat against RR. Is it the wicket ? the bowling ? a combination of both ?

They better start moving -- oops Gambhir gone. The cat is amongst the pigeons now !

I think its Sehwag's captaincy thats has costed DD the last two matches.
DD are always in the hunt till the 12th over. From there on they spoil it.
Yet another Sehwag's Over costed them the match. Last time it was Morkel , yday it was Watson's turn. Sehwag should shuffle his bowlers better. Seems like he always has only Plan A and no Plan B.

DD vs RR - match marred by umpiring error .

Finally, the Joker of the Match was identified - it was the umpire Steve Davis of Australia . Reason - he refused refer a close run out to 3rd umpire. But DD players stood their ground and was finally referred - it was OUT. Greg Chappel put it nicely: When there is technology and if you don't use it, you will make a fool of yourself !!.

Shane Watson played the innings of the tournament (Watson innings best in IPL so far: Warne). And so RR could defeat DD. Then DD should blame themselves for defeat - they dropped 3 catches, a plumb LBW (against Shane Watson) was a no ball.

Uh, about the third umpire decision. Ganguly did the same (although for a catch) and got bad press.

Mallya upset at Dravid:

Vijay Mallya upset with Rahul Dravid*-*News*-*News*-*Times of India Cricket - IPL

Is this the sign of things to come for the RCB? Can Mallya sack the captain at this stage of the competition?

Cricinfo - 'Biggest mistake was to abstain from selection' - Mallya

"My biggest mistake was to abstain from the selection of the team. Though I watch a lot cricket whenever possible, I am no cricket expert at the end of the day,"

"I had a separate list of players that I wanted. But since Dravid is such an iconic player I trusted his judgment. And Charu Sharma also backed him. "

"After seeing the final list, my friends told me it looked like a Test team," Mallya said. "But I backed both of them thinking that they advised me properly. Unfortunately in cricket, unlike in any other sport, the captain is the boss.

"It was I who brought in Misbah-ul-Haq"

Later, when I questioned the team's performance, poor practice facilities and the lack of infrastructure were given as reasons. It was also said that there was no bonding in the team.

I said to myself things can't continue like this. So I brought in Brijesh and who better than him to provide better practice facilities at the home base in Bangalore.

Now, Charu Sharma looks at mirror everyday:
"I look at the mirror every morning and wonder why I was considered inadequate," Charu Sharma. "I have no clue about why things happened this way. Mallya listened to Dravid who was responsible for choosing the team."

Dravid promptly took over captaincy from Ganguly and threw him out of the team. Now he squandered Mallya's money. What is he up to next?
