I must say, after getting a tight one on the cheeks, Sreesanth is bowling brilliantly. .

Ganguly questioned the catch, when the fielder & umpire felt it was clean. But this is run out - main job of 3rd umpire. No wonder KKR is last in the 'Kingfisher Spirit of the Game' points table

Here is one more news on rediff.com. It gives the PVI (Paisa Vasool Index) of every team.

Which franchise owner is getting the best return?

No wonder he is sitting on bench nowadays as Dravid wants to prove that he is right in his choice.

Rajasthan Royals (PVI: 1338) have got things wonderfully right. They chose an inspirational and clever captain, didn't spend lavishly on foreign recruits who would have to be frequently benched, and made the absolutely brilliant purchase of Shane Watson (delivering a PVI of just 150!). Even Yusuf Pathan, with a price tag of $475,000, has a PVI of 994. The Royals have had only one disappointment: Mohammed Kaif, with a PVI of almost 6000. Take Kaif out, and the team's PVI drops to 855! Surely, there's something truly magical happening at Jaipur.

The Royal Challengers (PVI: 4268) are handicapped because two of their top players, Rahul Dravid and Jacques Kallis, have a PVI of more than 3000 due to below par performances and high acquisition costs. They have also got disappointing returns from their other two expensive players, Anil Kumble and Cameron White, because of injury and the "only-4-foreign-players" requirement respectively. The team's PVI would have dropped to 3600 even if it had dropped just one of its expensive non-performing players.

No wonder Mallya is fuming

It has to be KXI as RCB has no hard hitters. They can just play the game in test format.

Here is one mroe linky for most valuable player.

You mean Mallya must organize DLF Test League, so that RCB can win a match?

Yes, yes, yes.... Atleast the test players will get the satisfaction that they have won a match convincingly.

Ahh.. nice to see the smiling assasin L Balaji strike back at the IPL. Didnt know he was out due to serious injury to his spine. Hope to see him back in the one day side soon.

Yup , but lets see if he has what it takes to be at the International level still left in him . Hes been out for almost 2 yrs , he tried making a comeback in the domestic season a yr or so ago but couldn't as he hadnt recovered and just flared up the original injury.

Lets see how he performs in the remaining matches as Im sure Dhoni is going to use him regularly .

i wonder if there will be any dark horses after future rounds of bidding, as bidders will have better T-20 performance data to base their decisions on. i mean.. more money will result in better teams for sure. at least it wont be as bad as this time. Soccer/F1,etc. is a good example.

Rahul Dravid has won the toss and Bangalore will bat first .

Mallya's hard talk seem to have done the trick - Dravid has identified 10 of his best T20 players and is playing them . Pity that it took him 8 matches & 6 defeats.

He has got the batting order spot-on:
1 J Arunkumar,
2 Virat Kohli,
3 Mark Boucher (wk),
4 Cameron White,
5 Misbah-ul-Haq,
6 Rahul Dravid (capt),
7 Praveen Kumar,
8 Anil Kumble,
9 Zaheer Khan,
10 Dale Steyn,
11 Vinay Kumar

RCB playing as only they can. Mallaya must be fuming now. And super bowling by VRV.

Do you guys think that Mallaya did the right thing by going public with his comments ? I mean, he could have had a private boxing match with Dravid. Going public has put a lot of pressure on the entire team and it was evident when they came out to bat.

Or maybe they take RCs before the matches.

I ask myself - Whats wrong with RCB?
  • Is it lack of batsmen?
  • Bowlers?
  • Fielding?
  • Strategy?
  • Plan?
  • Approach?
  • Skills?
  • Form?

Its simple man. They do not have any good Indian player except Zaheer. (Dravid is not good at T20. Neither is Kumble).
