Can we expect RR and CSK to play in this league? OR will there be new selection of two teams? How about the foreign players plaing for RR and CSK. Will they be retained here or they will play for their country?

Mike Hussey & Shaun Marsh are from WA. Since KXI doesn't qualify, Shaun Marsh plays for WA. But Mike Hussey plays for CSK.

How about South African/Australian/New Zealand players like Grame Smith/Watson/Fleming? Will they represent their league teams?

Michael Hussy will play for Western Australia instead of CSK.

Shane Warne will play from RR instead of Victoria.

Talk about loyalties

Asked about the Champions League's regulations, Modi, who is also a vice-president of the BCCI, said that "it had been clearly resolved earlier" that the IPL franchises would get priority over cricketers in their team. But the franchises will have to pay a "relieving fees" to the player's state team if both have qualified for the event, he said.

Elaborating on the case of Michael Hussey, who is caught between Western Australia and Chennai Super Kings for the Champions League, Modi said, "In the case of Michael Hussey, Chennai Super Kings has the option to keep him and pay a relieving fees to Western Australia. The option is with Super Kings."

This is interesting. Now those players will be in demand for the next edition for IPL whose teams do not qualify for the top 2 positions.

So how is the Hussey issue going to be resolved ? CSk pays his state team "reliving fees" and cuts it from Hussey's renumeration ?

If I have understood you correctly, you are saying that the players other than those from top two teams in IPL, Australian T20, SA T20 and English T20 league will in greater demand next year, right?

I may be inferring it in a wrong way, but I don't think this will be the case, because this is an arrangement limited to 'Champions league' only.

IMO, this won't have any effect on IPL selections. For eg, would RR let go of Shane Watson even if his native team has won the Aussie edition of T20?

In today's Times of India sports page is a photo of our cricketers playing soccer as part of a training session. So a thought occurred to me: If cricketers play soccer to keep fit, footballers must be playing cricket to relax! . No offense meant to all the cricket lovers (practically 99% of our country). As for me I can't proceed beyond point 1 of the preceding poll.
