Why is it that
INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE allows tickets to be booked only for matches in selected places? Is it some sort of marketing/rights clause?

Sorry, that will not be their batting line up unless they play no overseas bowler / wicketkeeper. Only 4 overseas players can play at a time for a team.
i still think IPL is a joke.
There wont be any passion in the game as national side is not involved and we have still not adapted the league/city loyalty like in western countries.
Doesnt matter which team wins. instead of having an annual IPL, would have made sense to have a T20 world cup

I agree. I didn't care about what was happening in the ICL regular series. But the moment they had matches between India, Pak and the world, I was interested again and watched the game with my loyalties in place.

Im going to see the Delhi Daredevils VS Rajasthan Royals at Feroze Shah Kotla stadium tomorrow. A relative is the team manager for the royals, so i get a good seat for free yay! This will be my first live match in a stadium, never seen a cricket match at the stadium before so i am kinda excited. I guess ill support my home team on the sly though. Go Delhi!
