Not only in that match, he has stepped aside in a couple of matches when he was awarded the MOM and let a younger Indian take it. No doubt he is an inspirational leader.

One thing I cannot understand about the boys from Delhi (excluding uber cool sehwag) and Yuvraj in particular is that they spew profanities when they achieve personal success. This is a new and very disturbing phenomenon in the Indian cricket team, I hope this is addressed soon.

I am 100% sure that the no-ball was not genuine especially at that juncture. If anyone notices, there were very high no. of no-balls being bowled in this year's IPL esp at crucial juncture.

SAD, VERY SAD.

You can hang me for this, but to suspect M.Hussey is taking it too far.

BCCI's decision to exclude SL players in matches at Chennai might actually help CSK, which is owned by the BCCI President !

While Super Kings' Sri Lankan players are not crucial to their plans, several of their compatriots are vital members of their respective teams. Chennai Super Kings may have an added advantage in their home games.
Franchises fear Chennai no longer level playing field

re: The IPL Thread (Fantasy game league details on pg 238)

I have never heard of worse decision makers than the morons responsible for Mumbai Indians. Did they forget that they can play only four non Indians in the playing eleven in every game?

Now picture this. Ponting is their captain, hence he will play all matches. Malinga and Pollard are certainties too. So for that one vacant spot, they spent a million dollars on Maxwell, who at best, is a mediocre player in Indian conditions. Specially when you already have the likes of Dwayne Smith and Jacob Oram in your ranks.

Stupidity at it's peak!

Right in time for the 'big bucks' ! Any guesses on who is going to be the champions this time round ? As a home team fan, I hope RCB is able to do the job this time round !

^^ It's a given Chennai Super Kings would be 1 of the semi-finalists ! I'm supporting Mumbai Indians as usual but i find it weird that i would be rooting for Ponting.

re: The IPL Thread (Fantasy game league details on pg 238)

I think Pune have a very good side with players like Yuvraj Singh, Marlon Samuels, Steve Smith, Ross Taylor, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Parvez Rasool, Luke Wright, Ajantha Mendis, Aaron Finch and their captain Angelo Mathews. I think they have a pretty good chance this time.

Also, watch out for the Rajasthan Royals. They have some good players in there, especially the bowlers and their Sri Lankan keeper.

re: The IPL Thread (Fantasy game league details on pg 238)

Kolkotta Night Riders begin their defence of the IPL trophy with an emphatic win over Delhi Daredevils yesterday. Sunila Nariane once again wrecks havoc with his superb bowling. Only Mahela jayawardane showed some resilience in the otherwise weak DD team. DD must be missing Viru very much.

Frankly I did not feel that excitement watching the IPL match y'day, dunno why.

I felt the same. Actually wandered around in the mid overs.

Is diminishing marginal utility coming to force reg cricket?

The stadium was full though.

I have been a chennai fan all through IPL. Let me see how my interest keeps up when Dhoni and co hit the field.

Bumrah gets 3 in his debut. Appreciate the support Sachin and Ponting kept giving him in the 1st over. Thats leadership. Confidence to pick him up and let him bowl against Gayle and Kohli.

BTW, im watching on HD without ads still. I cant believe this yet.

Can't believe Nehra managed to get into an IPL team. Where do you hide him on the field!
MI-RCB right now headed for an exciting finish. Pollard as usual is batting too low!
I'm more interested in knowing what Munaf & Ponting chatted about when on the field!
