When Dravid came to the crease RR was 8 odd, when he left it was 12 odd. While at the crease, he was promptly appreciating the bowling skills of his fellow veteran, Ganguly .
Ganguly bowled when Dravid was at the crease. His figures read 3 overs, 7 runs and 1 wicket

R Dravid b Ganguly 5 (11b 0x4 0x6) SR: 45.45

Don't worry. Diabloo should soon be out bashing Dravid and his team coz the RCB played pathetic.

EDIT: Just saw Diabloo's post above mine.

Never thought KKR's 129 in 16 overs was enough, was anticipating another loss. Dravid is still in a 20-day mould.

Another loss! Time for the RCs to pack their bags and head back to whereever they came from.

Mallya is gonna sell his team I guess ;-) .. and still make some money !!

RCB left the final charge for a bit too late .. should have started around the 12th over . Also Ganguly got away with a great spell . Overall RCB still havnt worked out the 20:20 format .

But Im hoping SRKs team doesnt make it to the semis .. can't stand SRK !!

Cheers

Corollary to Dravid's Ideology:

"Test cricket is the ultimate test for any cricket team and if a cricket team can do well in that format, then that team can do well in all other formats, be it one-day matches or Twenty20."

Quote:
"Test cricket is the ultimate test for any cricketer and if a player can do well in that format, then he can do well in all other formats, be it one-day matches or Twenty20."
-Rahul Dravid (Captain, Royal Challengers Sports Private Limited, Bangalore)

(no wonder he packed his T20 side with Test players and now languishing at the bottom of the table in IPL T20 tournament )
Mallya's whip crack seem to have had some effect.

1. Ventakesh Prasad was demoted from coach to just bowling coach. So RCB batting improved, along with bowling.

2. While at the toss, Dravid said he is packing his team 'attacking batmen' into the playing 11. So Jaffer, Kallis, Joshi sat. But he promptly forgot to remove himself.

3. Why did it take 7 matches for Dravid to pack his team with 'attacking batmen' ?

4. Cameron White made his name (teams: Somerset, Victoria) as T20 all rounder - yes he is a decent leg spinner. Why hasn't be bowled in IPL?
Again, RCB paid a fortune for him. Then why has he played just 3 IPL matches?

5. When the RCB team had a specialist opener in J Arunkumar, why did they have to experiment with different opening pairs in all the matches they have played? (even Praveen Kumar opened )

When Mumbai was losing and was at the bottom of the table, somebody asked Mukesh Ambani about it.

But Mukesh Ambani sounded upbeat. “Wait until the Australians go home,” he whispered. He said, “Those who win after losing really win,”.

Delhi lost. There was nothing interesting that would warrant my comments.

Bangalore and Hyderabad teams would IMHO finish the bottom of the table at the end of the tourney, the way they have played so far.
Its already the second leg and both haven't fired yet. The top of the table remains open with teams canceling out each other. Should be interesting. No clear favorites as yet.

I was shocked to see this live.He score only 33 and that too in 30 b@lls,lower than asking run rate and was out when he was needed most.Had it not been Morkel's assault on Sehwag they could have lost it there only.

To me the 1st three MoM contenders were A.Morkel(30 of 15 b@lls with 2 wickets)Gambhir(80runs) and Goni(13of 5 b@lls with one wicket).

Why??It was one of best matches of IPL so far.It went till last b@ll and had that fielder held that catch,we would have seen 1st bowl out of IPL.

IMO,DD lost this match coz of poor decisions by Sehwag. He should have bowled his and Shoib's over in the middle when CSK had lost 2 quick wickets and they were looking to consolidate.

The moment Shoib came to bowl last over with 15 runs required,i knew CSK will score these runs with one genuine batsman and other strongly built hard hitter at the crease.Sehwag should have remembered that just 2-3days back this hard hitter had hit 2 huge sixes in last match.

What a pathetic batting performance by RCB!
After Charu Sharma, it looks like Venkatesh Prasad is gonna be going soon. If you ask me, Rahul Dravid should sit out and let Boucher or Kallis lead the side.
